The history of Cotoletta alla Milanese. Also if the Austrian said that Cotoletta alla Milanese is a typical recipe of their tradition (Wiener Schnitzel), actually, this is an original dish of Italian cuisine. On 17th September 1134 was the name-day of Bishop Ambrose’s brother Satyrus. For the occasion, the canons of the Basilica of St. Ambrose were offered a banquet of rich dishes, including breaded and fried ribs. The name ‘cotoletta’ is from the Milanese dialect ‘cutelèta’, which in turn is borrowed from the French ‘côtelette’, meaning ‘cutlet’. It is in fact the rib of veal, not of pork: the only one that can really be rightly called the true Milanese cutlet. It is only in 1814, however, that traces of this term are found in connection with the dish. The recipe for Cotoletta alla Milanese, in fact, is made from the loin, and not the thigh, like the one prepared in Austria

Hi Sam! I see you've been exhibiting your elegance while crossing "La Piazza del Duomo" (Cathedral Square) 🤭🤭🤭 (a little sarcasm, sorry 😬) I think this video will have lots of viewers, as it is said "the more, the merrier…" And as it is full of useful contents, I'll surely will be going over like I did and do with previous episodes! Well, who said that a trendsetter should only use luxury brands' garments? We could name you the trendsetter teacher, at least I know no teacher traveling the world showing different places and teaching all in one! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I've been in Milan like you (for short time) 4 times and could never get a ticket to see DaVinci's Last Supper. 🤷♂️ But, if I could, perhaps I'd have had that disappoint feeling that I had at Sistine Chapel (I could not enjoy the paintings because of the noisy secular and uproarious tourists that did not respect the place). When you come to Argentina, you will try our "cotoletta" which here is called "milanesa" (which means: belonging or related to Milan city) It is said that for each church in Rome, there's a bank in Milan! Wherever you go, it will be a pleasure for us! I've already said that your perseverance on speaking different languages always pays! You are a trendsetter, at least for me! See you on next video and all your posts on different social networks!
@PAPIEnglish3 жыл бұрын
Hi Luis! Thank you, I'm not sure if I'm a trendsetter, but I am very happy if encourage people to learn about other cultures and languages. I think it is so important and I'm sure you agree. I often go to Milan so this wasn't my first time, but I also haven't been to see The Last Supper yet... maybe next time haha I need to go to Rome and do the Sistine Chapel and of course one day go to Argentine! That's the dream. Thanks again and looking forward to hearing from you soon! :)
@luis_ar21463 жыл бұрын
@@PAPIEnglish Oh! I regret to tell you some bad news 😔 When visiting the Sistine Chapel (I don't know if they keep the same rules than when I've visited it) you'd probably hear someone saying: "Non photo, non video" which is supposed to mean that photos and videos are not allowed. 🤔 Well, many visitors will not obey and anong the murmur will take pictures anyways. 🤷♂️ It's been 5 years since my visit, so, hopefully the uncomfortable situation is solved either because of new ways to deal with it or as a consequence of the pandemic restrictions! 👀 🙄 Oh, I think I'm starting to sound like a partypooper (this "adjective" I know from my American friends, I don't know if in Britain also use it). Sorry 😬 🤦♂️
