PL is one one those rare bands, that cannot do wrong by me. Even if they didn't release 'metal' albums, the songs were still amazing. Shame many people didn't see Host as the masterpiece it was :(

Indeed it was, and you can't be a a band as old as they were without wanting to experiment. Everybody talks about Draconian Times as their masterpiece but I think that they're the rare band that puts out a record without it ever being boring or stale.In the Metal arena they're up there with Type O Negative when they were around or Fields of the Nephilim. Along with Dead can Dance, The Cure or Depeche Mode which are one of their influences alongside Death or Goth Metal.

That track is from the Plague Within, which is probably their second or third best album, after Icon and Faith Divides us. It's just pure gold.

Discovered them after seeing the video for As I Die on the old metal/rock show Raw Power. This is an absolutely awesome song. Going to see them live again in Camden later this month.

This song is a complete eargasm, never thought that they would do a song as heavy and doomy as this again. P.S.: by the way, when "Ícon" was released CDs had already be invented for about 10 years.

Nice video. "no passage for the dead" on the medusa album is amasing. Always liked paradise lost. just never felt like they released albums that where great from start to finish. but there are alot of "hidden gems" on most of theyre releases.

I love this song, because it's so "bare"... It's so stripped down. It just "IS". There's nothing you can do. If you know what I mean. (If I remember correctly, you said on some other video, that you play drums... How do you feel about this type of slow drumming? IMO fast is all well and good, but playing slow and groovy... that's where it's at.) Since you are familiar with Paradise Lost, you are propably familiar with My Dying Bride too?

I have several my dying bride albums and have seen them live. Playing the drums or probably anything in a band like this requires you to feel what's going on and play only what fits that feeling and what you're trying to portray.

I'm a big Paradise Lost fan and even like the majority of their more "Commercial" sounding stuff, "Believe in Nothing is the only album by them that I dislike and even that album has a few decent songs on it, I find that album is let down by flat production.
