Paradise lost are just criminaly underrated, their whole discography is full of classics, just check out songs like: last regret, forever failure, true belief 🤟

Wow Thanks brother ... When I came into contact with the metal genre in the early eighties, I absorbed all the styles I could lay my hands on. And almost all styles had something in them that I could find myself in. Until in 1990 Paradise Lost came up with the super heavy doom / death piece Lost Paradise. I was immediately sold to this British band. And everything I could find about the band found a place in my record cabinet. I bought not only the regular albums, but also all the bootlegs and singles I could find. I even own several versions of their absolute masterpieces Draconian Times and Icon. When the level of Paradise Lost changed with their record Host from 1999 as the absolute low in my eyes, it felt like high treason which touched my heart at the time ... Of course I kept following them but still .... However, when Paradise Lost released their anniversary album Paradise Lost in 2005, it turned out that they were back on track. That record again consisted largely of metal and Greg's tearful guitar work had regained a prominent place in the music. .. Their latest Album is to me a kind of listening to a greatest hits album ... with the difference that is they are all new songs ... I must say They have traveled a lot in the rock style and yes even Host i can appreciate more and more ... ( must be my age) ... And they have brought back the Draconian times... and it is awesome to hear and to see that you Johnny is just getting in to them ... My girlfriend back in 1995 gave me in my B-Day "ICON CD" Guess what I married her, slowly she got into my taste of metal music. So in 2007 North American Nightwish/Paradise Lost tour at Nokia Theater NYC. She got tickets, For this 2 Amazing Bands! After 25 Years we still together.

Paradise Lost (the album) since it entered my playlist in the early 2000s never left. For me the best album of all time, every song in that album is just amazing. I recommend Grey and Red Shift but really, you can choose at random from that album and will be delighted.

I love that album, for me the most balanced between their "pop" catchy song and the heavy side. Over the madness is a masterpiece. But not my favourite album that is for me Faith devides...

Paradise Lost fand ich immer ganz okay, bis ich sie mal live erleben durfte, seitdem bin ich ein absoluter Fan! Dieser Song ist aber anders und erinnert mich auch extrem an Tool in Teilen, nur düsterer, also am Ende des Tages GEIL! Ein absolutes Masterpiece, wie ich finde!

I always have said for the last 25 years that paradise lost lead guitar isnt the best technically but he makes the guitar talk, which not many guitarrists can do....

Listen to those guitars because they are legendary, both of them.. I think this is one of the most influential "dark" bands in europe in the 90s... half the people doing shit nowadays are fans of these guys....

They recorded their first album at the Academy Recording studio which was based in Dewsbury. The studio relocated, and the building they used to be in was converted into 2 houses, which I used to deliver to.
