We bought our property from an older gentleman who owned 40 acres and an old homestead. He split it up and sold off 30 to someone from the city and for 15 years, they basically had it all to themselves. After we bought the original homestead with the 10 extra acres, they started being really nasty to us and constantly asking us what we were doing on OUR property. We moved here to have peace but the part-timers next door are making this place a nightmare for us! My husband served in the military and was a police officer for years, so he doesn’t deserve their treatment. We have turned a blinded eye to all of their attacks and will continue to do so. My advice to you two, “Don’t be jerks to someone who bought the property behind you.” If you wanted it so bad, you should have bought it! Other people deserve peace too!

@nancybrown2207

Make sure that fence is on your property or theirs. If you put a fence in you usually offset it to be on your property not right on the lot line because over the years surveyor lines can be off because of technology of surveyors equipment being more accurate. You can go to the land office and see who purchased the land and depending what they are doing may have had to file for permits to do the work. Might need to get security cameras and no trespassing signs. I’ve had trouble with trespassing deer hunters even setting up deer stands within our woods. I was hunting and all of a sudden I had four “Hunters” coming up on me on my land. They said they were tracking a wounded deer. Not true! I could hear them talking way back. They were trying to line drive and jump deer. They would have just shot at any deer and could have killed me. I took pictures of their back tags and told them that they had no business on my land. They said so-n-so said they could hunt there. I told them that So-n-So doesn’t own the land so had no authority to tell them they could hunt on this property. They started getting nasty so I stood up and told them to get off the property or I was going to call the Game Warden. They then told me they would just go down my hill and on my crop land and return back onto the land behind mine. I told them no they will not! Go back exactly as they came and don’t return or they would be arrested. They begrudgingly turned around and left. I called the Warden and explained what happened and gave him their tag numbers so I would have record of the encounter. (Pictures speak Louder than Words) I knew the Wardens in the area because I’ve worked with them on conservation projects. Kept them informed on the Albino deer and a few mangy coyotes. Had a few acres in Conservation Reserve Program so got to know them and they were nice guys. They have a lot of useful information. Hope everything works out for you. Hope they aren’t opening a hunting preserve and have paid hunts. Watch out for flying bullets if they do. God Bless.

Its not so much who owns it now. Its if they plan on developing it that the problem comes in. Normally a development ends up with a lot of kids. You want your property clearly marked. When the trespassing starts. Its easier to get it stopped. People that move in to a rural area see a horse or cow in a field. Most have known idea how dangerous they can be. Or what to do about them when. They trespassing cause a problem. I have had to get kids out of trees. They were trying to find magic mushrooms. The bull didn't like that. The sheriff department didn't like them looking for the mushrooms either.

It's not that they're doing something with their land, it's that this type of cut could portend something highly unwanted (like a county road), that it may disturb the flow of wildlife into their land, and that it may have disrupted a water source into their land. Is it really that hard for you people to comprehend these valid, normal human reactions?
@jimmyjohnjuan

Sure. From the comment it seem these people are to busy worrying about what there neighbors are doing. But they most certainly should make sure what there doing, don't involve there land. There another channel that has a court case against there neighbor. There loved a chunk of there property and sold the lumber. Simple fix is to pay them what they got but the issue is, neighbor didn't pull permits and if they didn't resolve this in court, the state could fine them for logging and not pulling permits.

I have read a number of various comments. I myself think it's smart to have a fireline between properties, or even perhaps an extra shared private road, especially if the road gives a better emergency in and out access. Some have commented or indicated they don't like the idea that someone travels through their property to gain acess to their property, but that's a historical given throughout history of land ownership. Right of way acess must be given to land locked properties. Research works both ways, not only those purchasing property that is locked in around other properties, but the surrounding properties that should note being on the edge is the starting point to reach the middle. Most reasonable folks place roads on property lines, so I don't think there should be any Right of claim, (unless it cuts off the creekbed flow of water) it may alter some of the game trails for awhile until they get remarked. Keep in mind wild game isn't owned by property owners, they actually fall under federal ownership. I noticed that you guys mentioned the cut went through where a creek bed ran, if they filled it in, or did not place a water flow pipe to keep the creek flowing they could very well have violated both state and federal laws. As they cannot legally stop the flow of water from property to property, if your on well water it could very well end up drying up your well, or ponds. Normally any location that has some water flow seasonal or otherwise must be piped, or bridged, most jurisdictions won't allow someone to fill in temporarily, it must be properly piped, using gravel and pipe. Record, and document.

OMG that's not the point of the video. OMG the point of the video is that they were shocked to see the clear, and the length/width/sheer scale of the clear. And they're worried about what the clear may portend. And they're worried about their wildlife. And they're worried about the stream and water source on their property that this cut may have interrupted. OMG it's so hard to comprehend things. OMG!

Well, I'm sure you can go check out the county records and see about any permits issued for there or what might be going on. Since it seems localized along the fenceline, I would think perhaps a firebreak or clearing for putting in power lines or other utilities. Might even be putting in a small access road on THEIR property.

Put up Posted/Private Property/No Trespassing signs every 20 to 30 feet along your property line, note where your sign are, how many signs you have, and have a current survey.- if possible. People came and developed property next to a family member, got a survey of the property that backed up said family member and took about 10-15' of their property in places. Nice sunset

I don't know how many meters between your property and what ever road they are making it varies by State and City but in Bathgate Dr. in West Hill, is about 20 meters or 66 feet you'll have to check City and State.

I would hope they did a survey, to make 100% sure they're staying on their property. Sometimes fence lines can be off one way or the other. And the real truth of the matter is, what they do on their property is their business just as what you do on your property Is your business. Wouldn't worry too much about it.
