DOCTORS told her she would never be able to breathe, speak or eat on her own - but Alyssa has been proving doubters wrong since the day she was born. Alyssa’s spine was broken during her birth when doctors were forced to “keep pulling her out” whilst using forceps. Her spinal cord shattered and because of this and other complications, Alyssa is now wheelchair bound and will be on a ventilator for the rest of her life. Despite the inevitable hardship this has brought on, Alyssa, from New York, describes her “biggest achievement” as marrying her partner, Jimmy. Jimmy now helps Alyssa every day with physical chores and activities, whilst in return, Alyssa has helped Jimmy to understand the true meaning of positive thinking and mental strength.

Actually its forceps that they've stopped using to take babies out, often they cause damage and they've redesigned the vacuum so to prevent causing such damage. If you're hospital still uses them go to a different one. There is an anicutive to change birthing practices in the US because we have the worst rate of injury and death for a developed country!!! ( my wife is currently pregnant she gave me the whole speal and had me go to a few different hospitals till we found the right one )

Yes! I don't know why he would use forceps. They are used for late term abortions (spiked one's 😢) My brother was a difficult delivery & the doctor used a suction- cup. If that wouldn't had worked he would've done a c-section.

Me too!! I'm disabled and very ill, and my fiancé ended up cheating on me several times (that I know of!)....I ended up throwing him out, despite knowing that without any family or other loved ones it was going to be a VERY lonely world! Ironically, I travelled/worked all over the country before becoming ill, 26 years ago, so I have no roots, and no best friend around the corner. He even had to take my beloved dog, as I was too ill to look after her. That REALLY broke my heart! It's wonderful that this lovely lady has found someone to share her life with....it gives me a wee bit of hope, although I can't see how on earth it could happen, with me.

For those of you who aren't in tune of the collage of physicians and doctors, when an investigation is done for medical malpractice, it takes alot for a dr. To loose their license. They have to have a long track record of disobedience/medical malpractices for that to happen. That's why their all insurable in the millions.
