There is recent research on stem cells used to regrow severed spines. In rats at the moment, but more than half the rats regained walking! Hopefully soon in people!
@mariadelacruz11533 жыл бұрын
Stem cells are the key. Those cells are regeneration cells, they can regenerate dead/destroyed cells wherever the stem cells are put. Unfortunately that method is still kinda new so it is not still used in general medical procedures. Stem cells at the moment are just used on facial cosmetology as anti ageing procedure.
@jaredkhan87433 жыл бұрын
@@mariadelacruz1153 stem cells really are the incredibly powerful. Soon infertile and gay couples can have their own kids by treating somatic cells to revert back into stem cells and then into germ cells. Then theres the whole idea of growing organs using your own cells using stem cells. They really are amazing. Cant wait to see the progress scientists make!

I looked up this video as part of research for a story I'm writing. I didn't expect to be in tears. I know this video is mostly for people who have paralysis or mobility problems, but it is very instructive, humbling, and eye-opening for me (a non-disabled person) to see this intimate process, which opens up a window on the invisible time and effort that goes into everyday life for folks with mobility issues. You are trying to be of service to fellow parapalegics, but along the way, you have really served other kinds of people as well. I wish you good health and every success. I can't even fathom how strong you must be to push through this. Now, I understand you would hate for people to pity you, do understand this is not pity. But instead this is respect that I have for you. You are able to make the worst of things into the best. You set an example. YOU are indeed a lesson to learn from. We CAN do anything. God bless you sir, and god bless the world.

You are amazing!!! Many of us can walk and move freely but you can certainly fly!!! You are bigger than your "limitations" in a way that they all dissapear before our eyes. An honor to meet you at least through a video. You just changed my mindset about life and about myself in so many ways... ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

As a Special Education Specialist back here in the Philippines, I'm trained and educated for gifted people like yourself. I am pleased to have a chance to browse on your channel. You are an inspiration to the world. In our field, we teach special kids to prepare living on their own and being independent so they could see their purpose in life without much difficulty to them and to the family and friends who loved them. God bless you. Keep safe.

I just had an accident where I lost major use of my legs, but not totally paraplegic. This is incredibly helpful for fellow disabled people who have no clue what they are doing and are trying to continue with their lives in the best way possible.
