Personally I like How Kafka stopped saying "I'm human" at the end of the fight with the director. Instead he said "I'm Kafka Hibino", which shows that he is still himself despite possible/probably not being a human anymore. I also think this is the biggest reason the director let him live. Mina saying "I'll leave it up to the experts to decides if he is human or otherwise" also shows that she is playing on his character and not his "humanity". She then followed how Kafka pretty much remained true to his original character from before he transformed again emphasizing that yes perhaps he is not human anymore, but he still is and remains Kafka Hibino. Despite his transformation, his character (his person) has not changed even a little. Which, personally, I think is a lot more powerful of a statement than trying to prove he is still "human".

Wow, that's Kafka's "Metamorphosis" is a very good insight. I was blown away because what you were explaining is literally what's going to happen to Kafka, kind of. Small correction for your discussion of ep 8. Kafka and Mina aren’t the same age. In episode 1 it was stated she’s 27, and Kafka is 32. He also mentions he remembers the day she was born, when they were all in the bath.

Loop 2: Rem was already suspicious of Subaru, due to the Witch's Scent. We all know how much she hates the Cultists and Subaru was stinking due to his 1st death. The only reason she didn't kill before was because Roswaal ordered Ram to put some breaks into Rem. But, Subaru gets cursed. This changes everything. Curses are a pretty nasty way of killing someone, and there is a high variety of curses, that once activated, cannot be undone. What does it means? When Rem saw Subaru crawling in the hallways, in the middle of the night, while also going towards Emilia's Room, there was no way to know what would happen if he reached Emilia. Even if Subaru had no malicious intentions, what if the Curse was contagious? He was already hopeless, beyond any healing and they could not risk Emilia's life, therefore she finished him there. Could she have done it in a more merciful way? Yes, she could have, she didn't need to rip him apart with her flail. But she is an emotional being, she saw the chance and she took it, her hatred for the Witch's Cult won. Loop 3: Rem was still suspicious of Subaru, due to the stronger scent and this time, he was no maid, he was a guest, therefore he had way less time to interact with the maids, he was just a stranger. When he left the Mansion, Rem followed him to be sure he was gone. But he didn't leave. He was waiting outside, looking at the mansion, holding a weapon, ready to act. This is HIGHLY suspect. Initially she was alone, Ram had nothing to do with it, since she had interacted with Subaru much more than Rem. But, since Rem was really upset with Subaru being there, she could not hold her hatred any longer and went to face him. We can assume that Ram sensed that with their shared emotions and went to the woods to search for them. When Ram saw Subaru running, she cut his leg to help Rem, since Subaru was already doomed, there was no saving him at that point. She let Rem do her interrogation thing. But, once Ram realized how Rem planned to torture Subaru non-stop, she decided that it was enough and ended his life out of mercy for both of them. She felt bad for Subaru but it was also not healthy for Rem to be in that state, so she just finished him off. And thats when Rem said "my sister is too kind"

My theory was that the only thing that let's Kafka drive the Kaiju instead of the other way around, is because his willpower. Like take No.9 for example, the guys who he posessed. A normal burnt out guy probably without dreams or the resolve to work towards their dreams, fed up with life probably (I base this off of the fact that Japan has a lot of burnt out dreamless adults.) Or an even simpler explanation: Kafka is just build different :D

To be honest the last 2 Episodes i was thinking all the Time, Kafka will be made into a Weapon, a Weapon that Mina will be using from this day on. It felt like the Kind of show, that is using the first season just as introduction and the show is actually about Mina and not Kafka. Those last two Episodes were heavy.

Hi, a teen viewer here, I have a request of a animated movie. Could you watch The "a hen out into the wild?" It's a great Korean animation made in 2010 and it's a very interesting movie that is related to motherhood and growth, a show that is related to confidence, and such, I recommend you to watch it in Korean dub and watch the original, when it was playing from Disney the ending was censored/deleted, and no it is not that violent or brutal, it's a 100/100 animated movie in my opinion, I am also a big fan of you two, I love your reactions and again, pleeeaaase watch it thank you :)).
