I hope his parents can live after this tragedy. We in Russia loved Anton Yelchin, and God bless him in other world. Вечная память..

Killed by a defective car part. My heart aches for Anton Yelchin's parents. He was such a very talented, gifted, beautiful young man. The first time I saw him perform was a child on a television episode, and his talent and screen presence were obvious. He made his character so poignant. I casually followed his career from that point on, watching him go from success to success, pleased to see his talent recognized and realized. It was a terrific blow when I learned of his tragic premature death. Some strangers who have affected you and who you will never meet or know personally affect you that way. Nothing can replace the loss of a beloved child - nothing. But I hope that his parents can gain some sense of satisfaction or justice by prevailing in their suit.

Think about it. Anton’s parents have to live the rest of their lives not only without their only child but also knowing that he went through such unimaginable pain during his final moments and died slowly. Nobody was there to witness it and there were no cameras to record it which means his experience during the accident will forever remain a haunting mystery. Furthermore, he probably couldn’t guess why his SUV started rolling back, thus leaving him bewildered during his final moments. This means that his parents have to remain haunted for the rest of their lives, since Anton’s feelings during his final moments were definitely unimaginable and are therefore worth explaining. They should’ve mentioned that during their speech in court to raise awareness and to sober the shifter’s inventor.

Anton's family and Fiat Chrysler agreed on a settlement. The money they received was not disclosed, but it is going towards his charity as well as a documentary dedicated to him.
