Dear Paris or whoever sees this comment, please help us raise our sisters voice in Türkiye. We are dying everyday and we need your help, we need global attention to horrifying femicides that have been going non-stop. We had 290 women killed on record since the beginning of 2024. Authorities are not doing anything, we hope with global attention and pressure they will have to change their actions. Please, spread awareness, please lift our voice, because we are silenced. I dont want my sisters to die, I dont want to die. Thank you so much, be safe❤

Why are they killing women? Is it slut shaming or you shouldn’t be considered human? I don’t understand people who do this. If you completely disregard women what do you think will happen to your future or populus? Who will your sons marry?

And just to think that Paris Paloma said in an instagram post she considered not sharing this song. Yet I'm glad she was brave enough to make and release it, especially after the abuse she went through in the past. Now to have yet another one of her hits on repeat.

In nature, you're not stripped of your dignity. You’re part of a sacred cycle where no one harms you for meaningless gratification. There’s no cruelty in nature’s processes, just life sustaining life. Roaming in it feels like reclaiming your dignity, becoming part of something ancient and pure, untouched by the violence and cruelty of men. In the wild, there’s an inherent respect for all beings. We are all part of something greater, where every creature plays its role. I often imagine returning to that untainted existence, where nature offers a sort of rudimentary sanctuary, where life is cherished for its inherent worth. There, there is no judgment, only the raw, unfiltered essence of life. That's why the line "leave me to the beasts and bears, I'd rather that the feast was theirs" hits me so hard.

I'm under the impression that there are references in the lyrics about Cleopatra supposed words that "no man shall find her tomb" and the case of the Tech Investor who bought the crypt next to Marilyn Monroe just because he wanted to be buried in the "neighbouring plot". I'm not sure if there are others references like this. But I just wanted to point it out, if that's the case, that's very cool.

The lines about leaving her for a day or two to make sure she's undesirable again makes me think of the practice during Ancient Egypt of keeping a woman's (usually high ranking wives or daughters, or particularly attractive women) body at home for a few days after death, so they'd be further along in decomposition and thus less attractive to any embalmers who might want to 'abuse' the body.

@@misskoro138 There's sadly a long history of the abuse and continued objectification of women's bodies after their death. They're not directly referenced in the lyrics but the song definitely makes me think of the desecration and theft of female bodies to use as ghost brides, and also of poor Maria Elena Milagro de Hoyos - she was a TB patient that one doctor, Carl Tanzler, became obsessed with. His obsession continued after her death and he stole her body from her mausoleum, embalming and replacing parts of her as she decomposed, abusing her corpse in his home for years until her family found out. Poor girl couldn't even escape his advances in death. And after it was investigated, they put her body on display at the local funeral home for people to ogle at before she was finally put to rest. The latter of which has unfortunately happened to many indigneous and exploitated women after their deaths - Saartjie Baartman notably - put on display in museums and institutes for tens or hundreds of years.

Coming here after the last news in Türkiye. Since i've ever seen the news, this song's on my mind non-stop. All those savagery, torture, deaths... It's just too much. Wish they'd leave us to trees, bears, beasts. We never deserved to killed, never deserved our body to shred. We never deserved that fear. I'm so sorry, these couple of days was hell and just reading news and not being able to do anything is tearing me apart. Whenever i see a girl child, i feel concerned about her, i wish her a beautiful life with beautiful people in it. I pray for her to never hurt by a mankind. I pray for her to never feel the way i, we did. Pray for her a future that she'll never feel the necessity to choose between men or bear. Dear women, you're all my sisters, keep hanging in there. Stay safe, stay strong, stay healty, and beautiful as you always are. There'll be times needed of fought, so we'll. "Speak for those less fortunate than yourself, who will need your help. Speak for the ones who will come after you, looking to you for guidance. Stay true, daughter. One day, you'll see it all go up in flames." Marie Lu, The Kingdom of Back

Back when this happened I found out that there's a similar line of reasoning that is even in the bible - "Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool bent on folly." So people have been going 'um, yeah I choose bear' for a looong time.

The visualizer for this video is beautiful, a grim but peaceful representation of the Last Woman’s journey to a peaceful resting place. The way she stops to look at the moon and savor something beautiful just for herself, is really touching- for once she doesn’t have to worry about being perceived, or performing for anyone. It’s just her and the moon. She doesn’t speak a word and we know nothing about her, but you really empathize with her. This is a beautiful accompaniment for this song, that I still can’t listen to without ugly crying, lol.

There is no justice for women being assaulted or killed and not just Turkey in pretty much most countries. Women don''t feel safe in most cities not even in EU or the US. Why is that? Why aren't governments doing anything about it? And if they are not, what can we do about it?Thank you Paris Paloma for being our voice with your songs.

Paris Paloma - last woman on earth Cremate me, deliver me to safety So that when it's spent, maybe it will be my own Scatter ashes, leave no marker where you plant it So the hoardes will be disbanded as they search on a treasure map for my headstone Leave me to the beasts and bears, I'd rather that the feast was theirs They can't reserve nеighbouring plots or request to be buriеd on top Leave me for a day or two to make sure that I turn blue For the first time since I drew breath, I'm undesirable I'm undesirable again I'll tattoo it just so they think it's ruined And if they think it's ruined, it's easier to save But please hurry if you really love me You'll dispose of me unceremoniously in the waves Leave me to the trees and air, I'd rather that the feast was theirs They can't reserve neighbouring plots or buy cuttings of my priceless locks Leave me for two days or three till my fingertips turn green For the first time since I drew breath, I'm undesirable again I'm undesirable again And they will come in such dismay That they never did discover where I lay And I will burn my flesh and form Screaming the words, "It will never be yours" I'll take the flame over desecration Promise you'll make all these arrangements Don't you dare think it's overkill I wouldn't wish the watching on anybody So if for that reason only Swear to me you will Leave me to the beasts and bears, I'd rather that the feast was theirs They can't reserve neighbouring plots or request to be buried on top Leave me for a day or two to make sure that I turn blue For the first time since I drew breath, I'm undesirable again
