Hi there. You can't beat a lovely boat trip. These things do seem so much higher in cost now and are more of a considered purchase rather than disposable money. Well done both and more great work by Racheal taking the helm with the vlogging.

It does make a difference 1 person going v 2. To be honest I had already been on it and I was more than happy playing @ the lake with Roxy. I quite often forget to film 😂😂 Thank you for your kind feedback though it might spur me on to do more! 😬 Rachel & David 💕

Hi David Rachel and Roxy. So glad the weather held out for you. It was a decent weekend over on the west Coast. We spent easter Sunday down at Ravenglass people watching at the la'al ratty otherwise known as Ravenglass and Eskdale railway. And sitting by the sea with coffee and cake. That site is so massive and nice to see investment in it it'll be chaotic in the summer months.Weve been battered by Storm Kathleen this weekend big style a few trees down just outside town. All the best till next time. Malcolm and Sheila from Workington.

Hi Malcolm & Sheila we were all so lucky with great weather on the bank holiday weren’t we! Ohhh I like the Ratty - we went last year and it was great! Yes the site is huge, but the new bit is really good. It will be better when the new toilet block is opened mind! Storm Kathleen was bad wasn’t it! Stay safe x 💕💕 Rachel, David & Roxy

Fantastic vlog and very interesting. We had a day at Pooley Bridge last year and popped in the Crown for lunch. The river had burst its banks at the time. If I remember rightly the new bridge is the first to be constructed of stainless steel.

Thank you guys - we love Pooley Bridge and we were really shocked how nice Park Foot was now. I bet it was interesting in the crown with the river busting its banks! Did it come high up? I am a softy and liked the old bridge better x Thank you so much for your comment - it means the world to Rachel & David 💕

We went there about 10 years ago and had a lovely time. I said it would be nice by the lake so I’ll have a look further into it now. We also went to Waterside, just down the road, over 30 years ago. I want to go back as it’s the first place Steve and I camped together. I know the site has changed a lot so it will feel like a new place. Take care Gill

Thank you - that's lovely, it's great to look back isn't it - It's definitely changed some, we did Waterside House on a previous visit and liked how close you can get to the lake there. We did like Park Foot even though it's a couple of minutes wander and it was great to go back. I'm sure you will remember lots of it as it was - it hasn't changed that much in the past 15 years. All the very best, David & Rachel ❤️

Never mind tradition, im with Rach on this one, steak pie all the way 🙂 looked very very nice. We have to go to the Lake District again, been years for us, the weather is always a bit hit and miss, but when it rains ..... Pooley Bridge is defo one for us to do, a very nice site as well, great choice. Boat trip worth doing, £24 though !! Drone footage was superb, and grear informative video as ever 🙂 Take care, Trev Debz and Tyler x x

Thank you - The fish and chips were lovely, each to their own though lol 😀 Lake District is lovely, yes it’s expensive, yes it gets busy and yes it rains a lot but the rain is what makes it look as it does of course. The boat trip was great, just pleased it was a solo trip on the wallet, that said, it’s over 2 hours of stuff to do so £12/hour which isn’t too bad eh and a couple of quid off in discount too. Thanks again, Catch you soon, all the best, David & Rachel ❤️

Great informative vlog as always. I expected the area to be overcrowded for Easter but it looks ok in your video
@LeisureBit5 ай бұрын
Hi Linda thank you for your kind feedback. The site was full & therefore quite busy but the new section is so well spaced out it didn’t feel overcrowded. I think the wet weather just before the weekend helped as the “non” pitch camping area was so boggy I think it kept some away. Rachel & David 💕

Just passed yesterday when we had a look out from Troutbeck camc, block work is quite high up on the new shower block I'd say be open for July but I'm no builder 😂

It was a tough squeeze getting on it but we managed! 😂😂 huge huge huge pitch! I love the lake it’s just so pretty and also my best friend would stay there for hours! In fact she did! She needed putting on her lead to bring her away! 😂😂 Thanks Tim Rachel & David 💕

The Lake District is lovely to visit isn’t it - our van was lost on the pitch, there was a Kontiki behind us and even that looked very spacious on the pitch, I think it’s the biggest pitch we’ve had on a normal campsite 😀 Hope you’re both having a lovely weekend, thank you, all the very best, David & Rachel 👍

Absolutely wonderful! I enjoyed “my ride” on the Western Belle. I loved exploring an area that I was not familiar with, and seeing all of the nooks and crannies you always point out. Sending all good thoughts from Essex, Connecticut ❤ Liz

Lovely place to spend Easter. Pooley Bridge looked very nice. Amazing shop on site. Fabulous location with the lake so close and lots of little shops and cafes. Breakfast looked good. Bet the steamer ride was lovely. You did well with the weather. Ideal place to stop before getting the steamer back. We would love that. Thanks for sharing. You may have had your coats on but it feels like spring 😉👍

Hi guys Pooley Bridge is beautiful and so much in such a small place! I like the lake, it’s so beautiful, peaceful and calming plus my ginger friend would stay there for hours. The steamer is so scenic and it takes you to some great places! I’m so glad we changed plans! Thanks again Rachel & David 💕

Hi guys great vlog just wandering how much of a walk is it into pooley bridge
@LeisureBit5 ай бұрын
Morning, if you walk the top lakeside path it’s about half a mile from where we were pitched. The site is large though so if you were pitched at the top near reception that would add time on. Hope this helps Rachel & David 💕💕
@richiebainbridge26084 ай бұрын
Hi, great video thanks. It’s been years since we went to parkfoot but would love to return. Times have changed and not required a mobility scooter so do you think the top path along the lake side would be passable with the scooter. We are definitely going at some point anyway but the off road capability maybe be our limitation for that venture. Thanks , no pressure 😂😂👍
@LeisureBit4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment, I think the top part of the path if it's not too wet you might get along with a mobility scooter, I saw someone on one and they were managing ok (I know they can vary with how rough terrain they can support so may be different for different models) Certainly worth giving it a go. The Lakeside path had lots of roots on and was much more difficult but the higher path was much better. Hope that helps, All the best, David & Rachel 👍
