Forrest and Dan in a new short film by Julie Angel. www.parkourgenerations.com For more info email Dan and Forrest at contact@parkourgenerations.com This film is a study of architectural potential and the body within a limited space. Parkour, conditioning, combinations, foot and hand placement, they've got flow. I've been shooting parkour action for nearly 2 years and this is the piece of work I am the most proud of. Enjoy!

parkour is one of the coolest things in urban culture. this vid is just a training doc. you should check out the other parkour vids, parkour and free running people are crazy jumping off tall buildings and stuff, totally extreme

I was training there a while back with Dan. It´s exactly as he says: A space hard to move through if you encounter it for the first time. I have never shinned as much as I did in that 1 session compared to all of my Parkour life. Technical difficulty is huge. The flow you see in the video is unreal :)

Haha its crazy when i look back at this and remember wanting to learn turning lazy vaults, 360 underbars and even kong vaults and now they have become second nature. I will always love this documentary it reminds me of when I started Parkour.

Parkour is not pointless, it improves mental awareness, physical shape, spacial awareness, also the discipline side of it teaches you how to overcome other obstacles in life that are not necessarily physical, it improves so, so much more than what can possibly be shown in this video.

This, this here is the heart of Parkour. Not the big jumps, the overrated flips, the horrible foot work... This here, concentration, acuracy, training, heart. Sometimes, i wish i was back in 2004 - 2008. Parkour, back then, was like this, it was pure, it was an awesome Phylosophy. Nowadays? We are full of dilluted Traceurs who don't know about the basics, the story, the real meaning of "Killing an Obstacle". Makes me sad. Like Bruce Lee Said. "Be water, my friend". Feel the flow. Be the flow.

though you can train by yourself or with friends, having someone WAY better than you to train and teach you is incredibly helpful. how i first started was by watching UF tutorials and trying stuff in the school gym so you totally can get started without a teacher. BUT you would be amazed at how many clubs there are to train with. even in smaller cities theyre pretty common.

Free Running: Free running is a physical art, in which participants (free runners) attempt to pass all obstacles in their path in a smooth and fluid way. Free runners interact with their environment using movements such as vaulting, jumping, somersaults and other acrobatic movements, creating an athletic and aesthetically pleasing way of moving.

Parkour is when youre moving from one place to another. And/or when you are escaping somthing. Free running is just when you are having fun doing cool thing and training. And militaries from different countries began looking for ways to incorporate Parkour into training. The British Royal Marines hired Parkour athletes to train their members.Colorado Parkour began a project to introduce parkour into the U.S. military and parkour is slowly being introduced into the USMC.

Parkour: [1] is a physical art of French origin, the aim of which is to move from point A to point B as efficiently and quickly as possible, using principally the abilities of the human body. [2] It is meant to help one overcome obstacles, which can be anything in the surrounding environment - from branches and rocks to rails and concrete walls - so parkour can be practiced in both rural and urban areas. Male parkour practitioners are recognized as traceurs and female as traceuses.
