yup! learning to break fall properly n to roll is so important. this is one of the main reasons why i feel judo is a must 4 all children n pple in general to learn. i remember when i was small riding a bike with my cousin in the bar n we were going down a wet road, slight hill, the tiers started to slip n slide. i was in amazement to watch how he broke the fall with his face n all i did was a roll n got up perfect but his lips n face n arms were bleeding n beat up.

Ever since Ubisoft made the AC series, I fell in love with parkour. Although my body is not physically fit for any intense training like this, it's still awesome in every way! =D It also makes me think of a story I have been working on after I finish my first, original story... Of making a anti-heroin parkour . . . I want to say "assassin," but then I would be copying Ubisoft's AC idea, and I don't want to do that. However, she's something like that... This video helped me in every way!!

This street climb stuff seems like a great all around work out. Power, speed, flexibility, mental alertness. It's probably on the level of breakdancing.

To slamcamspam, Thanks for all your vids I can add the moves {some of them I'm not that crazy yet!} into my own training you've taught me and I'm sure others alot about a sport that is still underground in the U.S. I'm off to free run.

Most people start with Strength training. If you can hold your entire body weight + clothes with a good 20 lbs slack than you can start doing manuevers. General learning the 'feel' and increasing balance is strong. Also learning the flow of the obstacle will help overall when you start doing more advanced techniques. Lastly i suggest learning the Parkour/Judo roll ( rolling from one shoulder to the opposite waist) as it is an easy maneuver that helps in all situations. Train hard ~Saint Nick

because i presume they are going to keep training. so if they do and if we do, then we cant really catch up to them on actualy physical time spent training because they will always have 15-20 years headstart. be aware im not saying we will never be as good, just that by the time we have 20 years training they will have 40

im not offended, im saying you misunderstood what i said. that statement was not a comparison on skill but a fact. the same as: 'if i was born when my mum was 25 she whould be 50 when i turned 25' i wasnt comparing myself to how good they were or are.

@CraigNdayday27 You have the videos, you have friends, you have outside, a building or a park, get yourself some good shoes, practice smart, boom there you go a parkour program. How do you think David Belle or any of these guys got started. Getting up early in the morning and running through the city. There were no parkour gyms then and you don't need a gym now.
