kyuubinaruto17 Basically during the 2013 Bronycon Bronypaloza things got crazy when a remix of Helping Twilight Win the Crown was playing. Everyone was jumping in unison and the shocks were so intense that we actually popped some of the light fixtures from the ceiling. Ever sense then the chant "please don't jump" has been a Bronycon tradition.

i emailed the website last year and, this is the response i got: Putting on an event like BronyCon (or any large convention) is a significant expense. On top of having to pay to rent a significant portion of the Baltimore Convention Centre, there are appearance fees for VIPs, equipment and staff for a 2 day concert, a dozen panel and activity rooms, printing costs for room signs, convention books and materials for 10,000 attendees and a small army of volunteers to support. Nobody is wishing to deny you attendance; it would simply not be possible to continue hosting the event that we have without the prices we have set. Other large Brony Conventions have rates identical or close to those of BronyCon, including Everfree NW ($70) and EQLA ($60).
