I have to say im not the biggest fan of red on cars but this 288 looks very very good. Nice touch with the hand painting as well. Looking forward to the engine being built, thanks for sharing.

Well you're off to a great start here! Yes; red is the perfect color for the 288 GTO, and that was some very intricate work on the badges. I have a fine point screwdriver I use for that kind of work that has served me well for many years.

Watching this video out of release date order. So it was kinda funny to hear your comment about M6 that you really want to finish it. Knowing how that build ended cannot get that line from Mortal Combat out of my head: "Finish Him! Fatality!". :) Too bad M6 was so sucky, hope this Fujimi kit will be much better.

Beautiful paint and clear coat aside from the dust specks. No matter how hard we try to keep things clean it happens. I have tried to paint raised logos but never seem to quite get it done cleanly.

I saw one doing the lettering on a 1/25 scale car with a hard cone shaped cotton swab. Unlike a paintbrush they don't release too much paint.

Paul-Can you recommend: 1.A good adjustable LED bench lamp and also; 2.A LED adjustable magnifying lamp with top cover. Any ideas on the optimal X magnification best suited for our hobby. My eyes aren’t what they used to be and the market seems to be saturated with choice. Some companies give you choices on brightness adjustability and swap out between white and yellow light and all on the same unit which would appear to be very practical. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Is there any significance to the overall look of that gt500 shown briefly at 2:45? I ask because a few years back I remember seeing a guy who used to daily drive literally the exact same car, even the wheels and interior color!

Actually, in built pictures on the internet, the wheels and tires do look ok on the 288 GTO. Maybe it's only a Testarossa problem,
