The perspective of liberal Salafis and conservative Sufis on the age of Aisha at the time of her marriage to Prophet Muhammad can vary significantly. Liberal Salafis may argue that Aisha was at least 16 years old when she married the Prophet, citing historical evidence and interpretations of Islamic texts that suggest she was older than commonly believed. They may also emphasize the importance of respecting differing views on the matter and not using age as a divisive issue within the Muslim community. On the other hand, conservative Sufis may adhere to the traditional belief that Aisha was 6 years old when she married the Prophet, citing hadiths and historical accounts that support this view. They may view any attempt to question or reinterpret Aisha's age as undermining the teachings of Islam and the authority of Islamic scholars. Ultimately, the perspectives of liberal Salafis and conservative Sufis on Aisha's age at the time of her marriage to Prophet Muhammad reflect broader differences in their approaches to interpreting Islamic teachings and traditions. I hope he discusses teqiya, and why not more “moderate” Muslims speak out against sanctioned rape and murder of infidels. Regardless, the gospel doesn’t leave room for benefit of the doubt.
@TheAlMaidahInitiative6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I think I'm going to make a whole video about Taqiyya, because it's something that comes up a lot. As for why more moderate Muslims don't speak out, there are some who do, for example the Saudi government has labeled the Muslim brotherhood as a terrorist organization. The gulf states are much more forceful with Islamic extremists then western countries. On a wider scaled my experience has been that when Muslims are talking to outsiders they want to put on a unified front, which means not criticizing other Muslims, behind closed doors, criticizing other Muslims is like their hobby. The whole Israel Hamas war has made everything worse, as people feel like any criticism of the Palestinian leadership is betrayal of Palestinian civilians who are suffering. I don't think that's unique to Islam, tribalism is a human instinct and the only way out of it, is to trust Jesus and follow his teaching to remove the plank from our own eyes before removing the plank from others.
@pumpkin19826 ай бұрын
Has it occurred to you that culturally Muslims are lying even to you? They don’t deserve the “plank-eye” argument as that is reserved for fellow believers. When other Christians do or say things outside of orthodoxy I don’t defend them, regardless of to whom I’m speaking. If the Palestinian “civilians” want the west to save them from Hamas and don’t agree with them, they need to make that more clear, but they never will. They need love their children more than they hate Jews.

Our Church evangelism group went to a Mosque a while back to have dinner and conversations about religion as Muslims generally will be open to talk about religion. I remember watching them worship their idol god allah and had a feeling it was a sin to witness such things willingly. I regretted going into the Mosque and wrestled over it whether it was a sin or not. A while later...a fellow Church member who was involved with Muslim evangelism became a Muslim (was Church disciplined, his wife and children shamed because of it and his wife is still with him and a faithful Church member). It is a very sad situation. I believe one must be super grounded in the Faith to do this sort of evangelism. Exposing oneself constantly to demonically inspired writings like the Koran and Hadiths also takes much from God to keep one fully guarded and safe from spiritually satanic lies.

James is basically providing the 'Standard Islamic Narrative' that Muslims should know, but many don't. As far as the earliest Sira (biography) source, we don't actually have Ibn Ishaq, we have Ibn Hisham, who died in 833 A.D. That means there's a 201-year time gap between when Muhammad died (according to tradition) and the death of the earliest biographical source. When it comes to the Hadith and the Tarikh, we're talking a 238- to a 291-year time gap, which is even worse. In our new presentation called, "What Muslims Need to Know" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZS7mqCna6mhaas), we provide visual timelines for Islam's primary sources vs. the sources for the New Testament. We also provide people a modern-day comparison of the 'time gap' between the death of Muhammad and his earliest sources vs. George Washington's death and his earliest sources. The visuals are a HUGE help for the visual-learners out there.

I think that one point to take in mind is the swearing competition (mubhahallah) which Muhammad advocated to the Christians to see whose God is superior as a case of the Christian and Islamic views of swearing. The Christians of Medina refused to engage with Muhammad because it was simply against the biblical code of swearing by anything or anyone, not even God Himself. This is very different from the Islamic view of taqqiya, in which the Muslim (Muhammad himself being the first by logic) is encouraged to say one thing to non-Muslims but can in fact do something else totally to safeguard personal and religious interests.

The Standard Islamic Narrative is admittedly dead. You should bring on Jay Smith. The actual origins of Islam are far more fascinating. There's so much From the existence of a syriac hymnal (one handed to Uthman by Archbishop Gabriel of Jerusalem, called a Quran or recitation) in the Quran to the non-existence of mecca at the time, to the presence of images on coins well past Muhammad's life, there is no reason to believe the Standard Islamic narrative. Even the name Muhammad is not a name but a title that was applied to Jesus originally. There are early coins that seem to indicate this. Look into it at least, foreign, more immediate sources exist outside of Islamic sources that corroborate these things.

His message to the Children of Israel: In Surah Al-Ma'idah (verse 110), the Quran mentions Jesus calling the Children of Israel to worship God and believe in Him, and that he brought signs from his Lord. His miracles: The Quran mentions several miracles of Jesus, peace be upon him, such as reviving the dead by God's permission and speaking in the cradle. Emphasis on his truthfulness and mission: In Surah An-Nisa (verse 171), Jesus and his message are honored by affirming his truthfulness and stating that he is a messenger and a word from God revealed to Mary. These examples illustrate how the Quran honors Jesus, peace be upon him, and positively mentions him as a messenger and prophet from God."

There is nothing good about Islam. I think October 7th should have cemented that on everyone's mind. This guy has swallowed the kool aid. You guys seem to not be questioning anything he said.

Mankind has concocted thousands of god claims throughout recorded history, none of which have ever been proven by any reasonable standard of evidence, including yours 😉 and faith is nothing more than the excuse that people give when they do not have good reason for their beliefs. If they had good reason, they would never need faith 💁

The Catholic Church started Islam
@DankusMemicus6 ай бұрын
That's just as silly as when an imam claimed that Alexander the Great founded the Catholic Church in 400 BC.

مش فهنان شي. C’est domage !!! Please with full respect to this man. But he doesn’t speak arabic and koran must be read in arabic because the translation is super difficult Get an actual Muslim Lebanese preferably , because we are open minded . Me as a Catholic we coexist. But what he is explaining is not accurate sorry And the “hadeeth” حديث needs scholars. There is a big difference between smith and mohamed. There is no relation at all. And in islam there is sunni and chiaa Each one has his perspective Again i am christian i advise you get a lebanese muslim young generation guy.

I have an Arabic speaking Christian who used to be seriously Muslim on my team. Everything we put out is vetted by him.

Well, no it's like saying you must be fluent in koine greek to know the new testament, or fluent in the ancient hebrew to understand the old testament, and it's suspicious you may not be catholic, but mary harb from too many marys knows islam better than many Muslims, or talk to Chris at speakers corner who deals with this arabic only claim, the arabic alone their are 10 different qira'at Technically hatun tash brought 23 different arabic qurans to speakers corner which debunked the false claim of the qurans perfect preservation, so trying to discredit this man was very disingenuous.

@@TheAlMaidahInitiative You may have simply asked her 2 questions: (1) Why is a "young Lebanese Muslim guy" the best person to explain Islam? Aren't the opinions of classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Qortubi valid? (2) If she is a proud catholic, does she affirm that Catholics and Muslims worship the same God?

Prophet Muhammad was prophesied to come for all gentiles in Isaiah 42. It says he would bring the idol worshippers out of darkness which he did and bring them the magnified Law in verse 21. In verse 11 it talks about the villages of Kedar who will rejoice and the people of Sela. Kedar is the son of Ishmael in Genesis 25:13. These are the idol worshipping Ishmaelites who would be taken out of darkness and start to praise the God of Abraham through God's Prophet Muhammad. Unfortunately majority of Christians don’t read in context which is why you all are still disbelievers. I'm just so happy I've studied in context and am a Muslim.

Is Isaiah 42 one of the parts of the Bible Muslims claim is corrupted?
@JesusisaMuslim6 ай бұрын
@@kenid4144 We never said Isaiah 42 8s corrupted. Thank God this chapter is so obvious that its talking about the descendents of Ishmael who would be taken out of idol worship in Arabia and given the magnified Law as prophesied in verse 21. The villages of Kedar has absolutely nothing to do with Israel. He's the son of Ishmael

@@JesusisaMuslim What if you're saying Isaiah 42 is NOT corrupted just because you want to use it prove your theory? Can you provide any authentic source or proof that Isaiah 42 is not a corrupted chapter? What are the non-corrupted parts of the Bible, according to Allah?

Isaiah 42 is prophesying the coming of Jesus. Kedar is only being mentioned because though they do not worship the God of Israel they remain faithful to their god whereas Israel always strays. It’s for comparative reasons. The Bible strictly points to Jesus and Yahweh. No other God but Yahweh. No other Messiah but Jesus. This chapter also cannot be about Islam - in the very beginning it’s talking about a messenger that God puts His Spirit upon and that’s impossible because Allah does not have a Spirit and in turn can not be referring to Muhammad as the servant receiving the Spirit. v 1-2
