The tesla guy told me it is a 4-wheels drive. All I know. They drove to Monterey from Palo Alto.

@@richardalexander5758 my best guess is it is a dual motors. Tesla always start production with most expensive car with most options and work their way down to cheaper cars. For example, Model X started with P100d and P90d (performance) in early 2016. By November of 2016, they started non performance models (100D, 90D, 75D).

Several strong hypotheses that the launch cybertruck will be dual motor. Main reason is the 4680 cells / Tri motor aren’t ready for mass production.

It's already in pre-production, and they are building the manufacturing line at giga texas for the CT. Some says they already have 2M pre-orders, if so, it will means a lot of cash for TESLA.
