Wow! You're off to a great start! Looks like a daunting task. Can't wait to see the continuing progress. Very impressive work so far! Interesting about the red oxide. Your eye for accuracy is amazing! "Macht Schnell!" .... Just kidding! Here's to "Soque River Modelers" sounds like a great group of guys!

Thanks. This is a very daunting kit. I am glad I got it, but man is it tough. Not as tough as a big sail ship maybe, but in it's way, it is still very tough. Thanks for the kind words and keep on watching! It will grow into something...interesting! And the guys in my model club are the best! I would venture man for man, and lady, as we do have one, we are a top flight group! One of our guys went to a model show recently and snagged two major awards and he wasn't even trying! Some great talent! Some great camaraderie for sure! I might get this kit done due to their support! 😜

Hi I got this Kit can you make both Turrets it looks like you can

Yes and no. What I did, was committed to the Henschell turret, so all the interior parts, including a lot of non-repeating parts, big thing, are used in that turret. For the Porsche turret, "spare" turret, I scratch built parts, some vent covers, the hatch area including the periscopes, the lifting rings, etc. I was committed to having SOMETHING as a spare turret. But no, the kit does not come with complete parts for both. It is an either/or choice thing. Which kinda sucks. So, for the money, I was danged sure gonna have something to show for the spare one. Sad eh? Truth is also, that the hatch and other parts for the P turret, are often smaller than the H turret versions. They COULD have made both sets. One more sprue tree....one more. I would act accordingly. If you can scratch build, go for it. If not, decide up front which turret you want for sure. And the mount for the 88 on the spare has to be scratch made, as there is no cage and no back end of the cannon to work with, just one set of parts and that leaves no spare means to mount it. I was a plastic bending/crafting fool to get that thing to work. That's why I painted it's interior the red-brown primer color, as opposed to the off-white. Hope that helps. Best of luck! Give me a holler if you need ideas. I am here for you if you do!
