Great video. Strange that you have to add body gaps where they don't belong. I honestly would have left everything tight and relocated the rear-end with the new suspension. Look forward to seeing what's next. Thanks for sharing. Be safe and stay well.

Had it been mine I would have moved the rear because I don’t like it either but Iam working to cheap on this one to add what might be a nightmare to my time. Especially since I have no clue how that “bolt on” link rear suspension he bought bolts on.

Man I wish I had AC. I rode by your place on Saturday, didn’t see the shop open so I didn’t stop.

Its going to be nice when you get finished with it, I'm getting ready to do the same sort of thing with my 53. I'm going to check out a frame that has the 504 kit installed already. Keep up the good work and videos.

That code504 is a super nice kit as is the Henry Panza kit. Iam nearing the end of my part of this truck, just waiting on the owner to drop off the last few parts. Thank you for watching and good luck on your build.

I am doing the 504 kit right now and couldn’t be happier with the way it has laid out and bolted together. As log as you don’t have to deal with their shipping department. That sucked.

@occoug I heard 504 is no longer in business

fudge the rear end forward one inch and close up the cab bed gap :) That's what most of the AD to S-10 guys are doing

If I do another I’ll use Barnes 4wd spring perches and move the rear forward.

It's gotta be just right and that takes all kinds of measuring and rechecking your measurements.

If I can help it Iam not going to send this thing out all jacked out of shape lol. Last thing I want is my name on a jack job, Iam no professional but I like to aim for above average back yard quality lol

@LeftForDeadGarage same here.

I’ve seen guys split that one inch between front and rear wheels. That way it looks even and your running boards will still fit

If I ever do another I’ll use the spring perches from Barnes4x4 and move the rearend forward.

@@LeftForDeadGarage it’ll be a good truck when all said and done. I’m also doing a 49 GMC onto a 97 Chevy Extreme ext cab so I gotta shorten my frame

Question- Which Chevy truck is an interchangeable chassis swap for a 1950 Chevy 3100 ? I want to have power brakes, power steering & better suspension?
@LeftForDeadGarage Жыл бұрын
All short bed 47-54 3100’s use the long bed s10 chassis, 118” wheel base. You can either use the S10 master and booster on your firewall or buy the under floor kit and keep your firewall clean. This truck will be using the underfloor kit from CPP. thanks for watching

Should’ve got a Henry Panza kit (Coffee and Customs)
@LeftForDeadGarage10 ай бұрын
I hear good things about the quality of Henry’s kit. This wasn’t my money and the ship time on Russ’s kit was within days of purchase. Iam supposed to do another AD truck in a few weeks and it will have a kit from Russ under it to.

What year s-10 are you using
@LeftForDeadGarage Жыл бұрын
It was a 1sg gen chassis but 2nd gen will work to, you just need that long bed wheel base unless you want to chop a extended cab chassis down.
