Possibly there was not time to complete the background check. I find it odd she keeps seeking out the jobs--maybe looking to take advantage of 12 hour shift for other purposes. She seems very sketch. I think the pantomime about the biological father is designed to waste time and money--she is not dumb--she knows how this will end.

The testimony was the CEO made an on the spot hiring decision, so that circumvented the normal hiring procedures. Someone definitely dropped the ball, but it was a little higher up than HR in this situation.

My child’s first parent never made a visit (no contact in 2.5 years) and completed nothing on the parenting plan. They would not voluntarily terminate even though there was no way their rights wouldn’t be terminated. The reason was that the child would know they “fought for them”. So interesting that the one action is the only one that felt like fighting for their child :(

Finding the potential Father is a savings grace for her, a second chance. We know she’s not going to be thankful and complete services, but there’s no excuses now. So on 8/22, we’ll see if she’s serious about getting her son back. I personally don’t think she will succeed. She’s very nonchalant about the relationship with Bible.

Any father had rights that need to be upheld. He is entitled to be notified of case (& possibly child’s existence). An effort needs to be made to find him. If efforts aren’t made and child in adopted…the father could have an argument in future.

It amazes me every time a parent with this type of record even bothers to show up. She’s playing word games and has been caught committing perjury. Zero effort to even see her son this past year aside from one visit in January. Her ship has sailed and the latest alleged dad is in jail. The saddest part is, damage was done in the child’s first two years and probably in utero. His issues are difficult and lifelong so he needs stability , attention and a lot of love.

Surely to God she is going to get penalized for all of the lies, misrepresentations, obfuscation, and utter BS. I cannot believe they're letting this keep limping on and on, when she has done nothing to comply, shown nothing but dishonesty and disingenuousness, personfied utter disrespect and contempt for the court and its processes, and flagrantly refused to take one single step or follow one single directive by the court. My rights would've been terminated after the first fiasco of a hearing, and my husband wouldn't ever even have been granted a hearing. This is Absolutely ridiculous. She obviously doesn't care at all about her son or trying to appropriately care for him, she's so selfish she is more worried about winning than actually parenting her child, and she's a miserable failure of a parent. They need to terminate her rights and move on. Ridiculous.

She did more than a lot of parents do at termination hearings, she showed up. She’s very confusing to me bc she sounds intelligent and normal. I think she actually is intelligent, but she’s not normal. At all. The large amount of lies she’s told and the small amount of effort she’s put into this are both astounding to me. I just don’t get how a mother could so easily disregard her entire relationship with her child, but pretend on such a very surface level that she cares. Why does she bother pretending? I have a hard time putting into words exactly how this whole situation makes me feel, I just hope that Bible never sees these hearings. And that he gets a name change granted by the court…

I think it’s very jarring to do that to a child that’s old enough to know and respond to his name, yet too young to consent to or understand a name change. He already has enough changes going on. Taking his name from him when that’s what he knows is unnecessary just because you don’t like it. When he goes to school and decides he doesn’t like his name or is embarrassed, he can change it. He can change it at any time.

If she were to get a position as a housekeeper, it'd most likely be at a motel. They usually aren't too picky about who they hire, especially these days. Many employers right now are simply desperate for employees. Also, I'm unaware of her prior criminal history, but it sounds like this current charge of UUMV hasn't yet been adjudicated. So, for better or worse, she's presumed innocent until she's proven guilty in a court of law. Regardless of all of that, my heart hurts for this little boy. I tend to believe that it's usually best for children to be reunited with their biological parents when that can be done safely. Though I'm not particularly impressed with the effort (or lack thereof) that this Mom has put into getting her son back. And I find it very worrisome that the only emotion she seems to be exhibiting is boredom. But she hasn't done "Nothing". Idk. I'd hate to be the judge making the ultimate decision in alot of these cases. I pray that whatever the ultimate decision is, it's the right one for this innocent baby boy. ❤

As someone who is an addiction/mental health specialist..the very fact that she doesn't know speaks to the level of her commitment in ACHIEVING sobriety says a ton. She can be in an IOP and continue to use until she is subsequently discharged. She is a pathological liar. Very sad..smh

​@@North_West1 True; however, the biological father likely is "cut from the same bolt of cloth" as the mother as related to her character or he wouldn't have been involved in an intimate relationship with her in the first place. Usually, "birds of a feather, flock together," and this mother was not frequenting places where you would find upstanding, nice young men that would take responsibility for their actions. I just don't feel the biological father (whoever he may be) is going to be a person this child can count on to be a responsible parent. And, it's very sad for this innocent child.

I don't care what any of these lawyers or social workers say, AA and NA meetings are a joke as far as being a 'tool for sobriety' when you have the urge to use. You can put 20 adults in a church basement, feed them free coffee and cookies, hold their hand, and make them say the prayer in unison but the minute they step outside it's back to normal. The only thing that personally helped me and forced me to get off and stay off was taking away my latest installment of 'goods' and driving me straight to the inpatient facility. I strongly believe monitored and medicated withdrawal, immediately followed by maintenence is the only way to get the majority of people off and straight. These social workers have zero concept of how difficult it actually is to just stop taking something and go through those effects for weeks. To them it's just 'well you need to do it for your kid'. That's obvious to us, the difference is that some folks want to do it and some folks simply don't care.

Abstinence isn’t enough. I have attended NA for years. It is through the help of other clean addicts - through both their unconditional love and tough love- that keeps me clean long term. Also addiction is a disease of the heart and mind. There is far more work to be done besides just managing not to use. That’s what long term meeting accomplish for those who are truly sick and tired of being sick and tired. As we say - it works if you work it. Just sitting there don’t do sheet.

She is lying about IOP. She would know that she attends 4 days a week for several hours each day for 6-12 weeks depending on the program. For her to say she has no information about when she attends means she is lying and is not in a program. My son is a recovering addict and IOPs are the same nationwide.

I hope that if this child gets a new and better family, they immediately change his name legally. Having a word as a name is setting that child up for untold bullying. I have a perfectly respectable and simple name and I still get teased into my adulthood. I can only imagine the imagine the bullying that will happen for naming your child "bible". I can think of several ways to do so already. Many "names" should be automatically rejected by whomever is writing out the birth certificate. If even Elon Musk can't name his child what he originally wanted (though I think what they settled on is equally bad), idiots like this shouldn't be allowed to just throw anything they want out there. Regardless, she shows exactly the lack of skills that solidify my belief that no one should be able to conceive without first passing certain evaluations and taking classes.

@@MonthieNo4 they really are. Get a pet and name it that. I once heard this woman yelling at her really well-behaved child in our store bathroom (it's right next to my department). The little girl couldn't have been more than six. This woman was clearly more interested in her phone and her appearance than being a good parent. And then she said the child's name. It was Apple. I was appalled. It is one thing to name your child something in another language that passes for a name in that country (for example, Ringo is "apple" in Japanese but often used as a name for little girls) but to so obviously name your child something ridiculous to the language is more reflective of the parents and should warrant some serious involvement and evaluations of their common sense and parental capabilities.
