I have to agree on that 1. Being a police officer is a very stressful job so it takes a specific type of individual to be able to handle that type of stress, the problem I see is that you got everybody in a mama wanting to be police officers. I really believe it's just because the power that comes with it, that's just my opinion, but yeah? Wait. Too many people want to be caused. That shouldn't be cause if you can't handle that type of pressure. Then you don't need to be in that type of position. go do something else behind a desk or something.

I used to be that way once upon a time. Hopefully, in this case it’s not that going on. Also he’s inside his vehicle , therefor legally he wouldn’t need a permit endless he exits the vehicle with it on assuming that area he did need permit so that cop should’ve known the basic law that if you own a firearm you don’t need a permit to carry if in home , vehicle , or your business…That’s actually law in every state . Plus he never exited his vehicle therefor the cop would need to prove that he had that vest and gun on before entering his vehicle assuming he didn’t have it on when leaving his property. Therefor , assuming he did need a permit to open carry but he didn’t , that cop didn’t have probable cause to ask for such permit , no probable cause he could’ve put it on inside vehicle while driving easy access to firearm if needed be , and takes it off when exiting vehicle . Either way he was in his right

In PA, for example, to have it on you in a vehicle, you need a valid license to carry permit. Otherwise, you can only have it in the trunk on the way to/from a gunshop, shooting range, home/business.

Some require it to be inaccessible, i.e. in the trunk(or back of vehicle) unloaded, under very specific circumstances. The very language of the PA Uniform Firearm Act only allows handguns in vehicle to/from range, gunsmith/gunshop, if you don't have a permit. Other states have similar crap like this as well. The laws are too varied to use "usually, or all" regarding that type of thing. Been through and to, too many states in the past several years.. And the various laws are irritating.

Problem is and always will be.. cops are not supernatural. Everybody goes through this shit in school and then, if its not a normal part of the job, lose all the things they learned. Its true with every profession. If you're not using that knowledge every day you forget it. Its nice that it can be resolved like this but you're throwing the dice. I was an armed courier for 6 years. When I got pulled over and was carrying most cops would just want to know what I did and then let me go... but when I got that random asshole I just complied and it was no big deal. The lady cop on the driver side is very kind of unprofessional because just because she doesn't know of a law that's common she's treating him as if he's wrong because of what she doesn't know . She might want to stop before she costs her precinct a big fine and get her fired so she needs to be less aggressive especially when they ran his info and everything came back clear. They were just intimidated and gave him a little hassle. If he wants he can file a report because the passenger cop immediately said she knows who he is and his profession and the male cop knew the driver as well and if he was a threat why would the male cop give him dap showing body language that clearly showed the driver was no threat. Yeah that female cop from the driver side needs a little more training on how to not come off as aggressive because we are all just trying to be short and simple at any traffic stop 😂 but she had some extra aggressive energy about her and needs more training before becoming a bad egg.
