Wow Kelly, I can't believe the workshop has changed so much. Its been 10 years since you wet sanded my orange peeled X5. It looked like glass after. Will be on contact..keep the videos coming.

Hi Kelly, what tar and glue remover do you use here ? It works really good
@keldmllnitz46264 жыл бұрын
OK, so you use PW to strip the paint but what do you use to polish and protect the paint?

The next videos in the series show how we correct, prepare, and coat the paintwork with modern ceramic / nano coatings :)

An interesting video. Thanks. However, I wouldn't overestimate the degreasing of paint. Why? Example Exo. At least 15% petroleum content. In addition, I (unlike other detailers, admittedly) observed NO disadvantage by using Essence.

so i might be a little confused.. you wipe all the painted surfaces with 3 different treatments (ipa, glue remover, PW) before doing any polishing and then "truth wipe" with PW to ensure results?
@KDSKeltecTV3 жыл бұрын
We would use panel wipe, usually followed by IPA, for two reasons: 1) before applying a ceramic coating, to ensure maximum bonding 2) if we need to check/verify our correction results - however, we have enough experience (we get such repeatable, consistent results from our polishing methods) that in the real world we don't need to do this during the interim stages because we 'know' what the truth is already

Absolutely brilliant demonstration, thanks guys. Do you use Gtechniq PW straight or diluted? Its very very strong stuff!

Neat.

We buy those from Costco but I believe they are on Amazon. Search 'kirkland' microfibre'.

Thank you , how does UPOL panel wipe compare to PW?
@KDSKeltecTV5 жыл бұрын
We haven't tested Gtechniq PW against UPOL specifically, but we have compared against MANY other brands (water and solvent based) and nothing comes close to Gtechniq, so that's what we use.

In test panel did you use machine or by hand?
@KDSKeltecTV4 жыл бұрын
This test panel was sanded by machine to give a very uniform dullness
