Their sweet innocent voices during the Allison Steel interview remind me of early interviews of Eric Carr when he first joined the band. By then the guys had developed their voices and banter but Eric was still new and fresh.

They weren't prudes, they were protecting Alice Cooper, one of their biggest artists at the time. Warner saw it as disrespectful toward him, to be promoting a new young band copping not only his makeup, but his entire theatrical stage presentation. That's why they dropped Casablanca and Kiss.

see? the "demon" moniker never was a thing till the 90s.. Before then, Gene was just Gene. No one considered him "the demon." That was all made up after the reunion in 96- a rewriting of kisstory. I lived thru the 70s n 80s. He was never called a demon
