I have 1 historical correction and 1 historical comment. Actually, the Big XII chose West Virginia over Louisville, a year before the ACC chose Louisville as West Virginia was no longer available. The 2 other "contenders" at that time were Cincinnati and UConn. Georgia Tech was an original member of the SEC. Georgia Tech left the SEC in 1964. There are people who are alive who remember this. Georgia, for one, would vociferously oppose Georgia tech's entrance into the SEC, so Sankey would really have to pull a fast one to get them in like he did with Texas over Texas A&M's dead body.

Appreciate the videos Personally I think this swings to 3 power conferences of 24 schools That breaks down to 4 divisions of 6 schools. They play 10 conference games. The semi finals are cross over games for each division. This would be the last week of the regular season. This goes into a 16 team playoff. The 4 division winners of the sec and B1G get auto bids. The 2 teams for the Big 12 championship get auto bigs. This would leave 6 at large or wild card teams. The G5 expands and host their own playoff and national championship. Just my thoughts

If you watch this series of videos the majority of the ACC would be moving on from the ACC. I don’t see how the B1G only adds 2 schools. FSU and Notre Dame are no brainers. But do you think if UNC wants in they are going to say no? The ball is already rolling down hill. They can add in some major brands and media markets. Example Miami and Atlanta. As for divisions it will happen just to keep cost down. The Big 12 will become the land of misfit toys that the SEC and B1G passed on.

I disagree with your assessment that some of these schools won’t even draw interest from the Big XII. My thought process is that WHEN realignment causes the ACC schools to start changing conferences, this will be the LAST opportunity to amass P5 level schools into one of these remaining conferences. There are no more schools outside of 4-6 G5 schools available to add and ALL of the schools in the ACC & PAC-2 are better options than those. The Big XII is going to need more than 4 more teams to provide enough content to make enough revenue to keep a “rebuilt ACC” from combining with the best available west coast (WSU, OSU, Cal?, Stanford?) & Mountain West schools along with poaching the best 5-7 brands (U of A, ASU, Utah, Colorado, KU, Baylor, UWV) out of the Big XII to make itself the third best conference and turn the Big XII into a G5 conference. This is a multi-dimensional game of chess where each conference is working on maintaining or improving their position so that they don’t get left in the dust.

WAKE and BC likely remain in a surviving Tier 2 ACC. No worse than any new BIG12 school.

I'm not out on Syracuse to the Big 12. Not sure what I'm smoking, but it must be good, because they've been out since 2011. I really thought they were still AAU. Thanks for calling me out.

Wrong. Louisville is potentially SEC worthy

Yeah, there's a chance they end up in the SEC, but I would think there're several teams higher up on their list.

A quick Google search would show you that the Big Ten already considered pitt in the last realignment and is expected to add them in the next also as a pit fan why would I want to go to the big 12 and play BYU and WVU over. Big 10 Ohio State Penn State or sec Alabama LSU Acc Clemson, Florida State, piit has a better program than almost every team in the big 12 after Texas and Oklahoma leaves. It would be a huge letdown as a fan there’s not one away game. I would want to go to imagine going from Miami and Florida to wherever BYU wvu let’s be realistic that’s a letdown.😂😂😂

I guess you'll be disappointed then. Just like Utah, there are a lot of bigger brands that bring more value higher in the B1G's list, and most are in the ACC. I don't blame Pitt fans for preferring the B1G over the B12, but they won't have much say in the matter. Keep in mind, Pitt was not one of the "Magnificent 7", which tells me they aren't so confident in getting in either.

@@saturdayswarriorbyu According to a report from Yahoo! Sports' Ross Dellenger, Pitt was included on a list of “attainable” programs that the Big Ten considered for potential expansion big 12 is a last resort conference for everyone if anything, big 12 teams like West Virginia who’s been begging to come to the ACC will move to the ACC. You guys play your conference championship tournament in Kansas for God sakes. If it happens, it happens, but people would not be happy

@@saturdayswarriorbyu we have the second most wins since joining the ACC only behind Clemson, 3 divisional titles a conference championship. A Heisman finalist multiple first round draft pick, Biletnikoff Award winner and the most players drafted out of the ACC all just in the 8 years we’ve been in the conference. That’s a lot more than a lot of teams can say.

Not sure that the Big XII wants Pitt with WVU so close regardless of rivalry. Not a good cultural fit - think they end up in the restructured ACC. They aren't value-added comparatively to other available schools. Agree on Louisville completely - first to jump to the Big XII. Let me shout it for the folks in overflow - Syracuse is not the New York market Yormark wants - it's an upstate island. Bad cultural fit - no value added and believe they end up in restructured ACC. Think it's 70/30 that Georgia Tech is in ACC v. Big XII. It's odd culturally, but would get the Big XII into Georgia which isn't all bad - maybe a reduced share school? Wake and BC are staying in a restructured ACC. The Big XII doesn't want BC... at all. Nobody watches sports in New England unless it's the Pats, Sox, or the Celtics aka pro sports and it's a bad cultural fit.

Good points. While cultural fits do have to be taken into consideration, i think the Big 12 will pursue the most value where it can be taken.
