Well another comment. I checked Speedway and theirs shows just like yours on the brake line layout. I found some online that showed the opposite. Maybe they work either way.

I'm thinking they will work either way. My understanding is that the proportioning valve limits flow and the residual valve works on pressure. If that's the case then I don't think it matters which order. Maybe another expert will weigh in on our comments to confirm or correct me.

Thanks for watching! I want to get out your way soon. I've never been to Hershey yet. It's on our bucket list.

I noticed you put the residual valve before the proportion ing valve. I thought most brake diagrams show the residual after the proportion ing valve. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this. Enjoy the videos. Nice work.

You made me think! I've been doing it this way for a long time. I just double checked some reference material and this is what most street rod and hot rod applications suggest. Google search brake line diagram and you'll find images from Speedway and others and this is how they suggest setting it up. From an engineering point of view it may not matter as the proportion valve limits the flow of fluid to the back brakes, I don't think it limits the pressure. The residual valve just keeps 10 psi in the line so fluid doesn't flow back to the master cylinder. That's my take on it.

No e-brake on the ‘34 chassis?

Cables are there, the owner has a kit to put it in the original position with an original style handle. He will complete that himself.
