What a great video on replacing a horribly designed discharge hose! Most are 5-minute affairs on a fixed nipple producing from the back

A thousand percent agreement about how badly designed the discharge hose is. It's as if their engineers got together to make things as complicated and difficult as possible.

Very helpful! One recommendation for future videos: zoom in on the smaller parts so the viewer can get a better idea of what they look like.

Extremely helpful! Great instructions. The only thing we failed to account for was water left in the washer drum ... make sure you have a bucket or two if this is the case! Or leave the hose attached and drain out the hose before detaching. Just don't forget to account for any leftover water that might drain!! Steve does mention checking water in the hose ... so he did cover a reminder there ... but prepare for whatever water you might have elsewhere. GREAT VIDEO!!!

This is a perfect instructional video, in my opinion. Now I can go change out my drain tube with absolute confidence. Thank you for the thorough explanation.

This video is awesome!!! I needed to see where my leaks were coming from and was worried I’d have to replace the drain hose. Luckily I didn’t! But now i know how to take the cabinet off the washer. Thank you!!!! Very good description of process.

Very helpful video it seemed a little intimidating when you started to take the whole thing apart but it actually was very easy thank you so much

Just used again- so helpful. The hose fell off the pump, added a hose clamp, hopefully that will keep it on!

I hope I got the right hose I usually order but went to home depot and the guy said it would fit right now I’m struggling with one clip in the back I could have been done trying to not to break the clips🙄🙄

Very helpful video. I was able to do this for my washer a few months ago so thank you. Now, my drum is banging around as it is in its spin cycle. Been trying to find a video that uses the same model washer (as in this video) for repairing the drum but have been unsuccessful. Do you have a video on this?

Why didn't you run the hose through both openings on the large white bracket. Also the one end of the hose pulled through very easy but you didn't remove the hose completely. Why? My Whirlpool hose is solidly connected to the white bracket and I'll be damned if I can get it loose. This is much easier to do by simply tipping the machine on it's side and you have complete access.

Geez, must be charging owner by the hour...……...this can be done by tipping machine, about 5 mins!

I know I just tipped our washing machine over to remove the hose before watching this tutorial. I only watched one of these videos because I wasn't sure if the drain hose was one long hose or if it was two joined hoses at the little white plastic piece that runs into the back of our washer. I've never changed a drain hose, but removal of the hose and plastic piece are very easy to remove. My aunt's a cheapskate and wants to splice the hose where the leak is. The leak's almost at the end of the hose where the water drains out of the drum itself.

It's recommended you always keep a washing machine in an upright position. Laying a washer on its side can cause the inner and outer tubs to bump against each other, which can loosen support pads or damage the suspension. It can also cause the tubs to move out of alignment and alter the way your unit works.

I can’t see what you’re connecting disconnecting. Somewhatpointless to have a video!

Respectfully, this is _not_ easy! It takes over 14 steps and three different tools just to remove a damaged hose. I have no idea why this outlet hose position was designed that way.

I guess they used the same sequence for the 2020 election, the camera was toooooooo far away for me to actually see what you did. and ours is the drain line is on the left side bottom, and it goes through a slot in the back of the plate. I still can't see what I needed to see on the video.
