Just discovered your channel today and I’m so glad I did. Finally pulling the trigger on starting an event rental and design business after years of considering it. Your videos have been very informative and encouraging. Thank you for taking time to share with us 🖤

Great topic. I've been meaning to sit down & do the numbers comparing deliveries to pickups but I'd say 50% of our profit is from pickups.

It depends on the perspective on rentals. Btw was watch in your videos, I have my own rental business that opened. I registered my business at the age of 19, now I’m 20. I prefer delivery because you know where the person lives, where your items are, and you get extra income

If somebody is picking up, you always ask them what the event location is when booking. You take a credit card on file in case of problems. When they pickup you snap a picture of the ID (it has their address). I’ve never had somebody not return.

i am trying to start a rental company but no tents at this moment. Im a one woman show and need really to know how to navigate with the few items and the software that is best to use, that has inventory tracking, and a mobile app that will take care of updates or status of delivery and what to use to get stains out of linens. Thanks for your vids. Please help with what to do to get customers with high price points.

That's a smart way to do the pick up timeframes. Do you let people pick up dance floor? How has the fastdeck worked for you has it made the snaplock work well outside or do you have issues/complaints?

Can you explain how you prevent theft once the client picks up the inventory? Does Booqable help with this?

Regarding pick ups or drop offs, I think it depends on your business model and clientele/area. Personally, I've stayed away from pick ups because my business model is based on quality and dirty or damaged items won't fly with my clientele. What isn't considered too dirty in Saskatoon or other areas would most likely be too dirty here. (I'm not slamming other cities, just stating an observation, Canada is a big diverse country) Everything I put out is spotless or it doesn't go out, and the only way I can control quality is by refusing pick ups. Having to clean/repair/replace items on the spot when it comes back doesn't work for me, unfortunately. I use Booquable too and I noticed you had a line near the bottom of the invoice for a damage waiver, or something to that effect. I've talked to Customer Service numerous times and they tell me that can't be done, incredible.

Love the information! I’d like to find out what is the best way to start a rental business on a budget especially if I’m not able to do the work because of a disability?

Great video! I came across your channel 2 weeks ago. My fiancé and I are looking into starting an event rental business. We’re deciding to take a chance with starting off with the fan back chairs because no one in our city has them. We were thinking 100 white fan back chairs, 10 6ft rectangular and 60’ round tables and 2 10X20 tents. Will that be a good start?

Is glassware going out for events? Or are you still bartending?

Hey man. Been following for 3 years now. Love the channel and encouraged me to take a shot and go at it 2 years ago. Have been growing since. One question I had for you is i want to switch over to booquable. I see on your website for delivery there’s the flat rate options for the different deliveries, but how do you tact on for additional mileage?

How do you know, how much to charge for stairs or elevator ? I am asking because I have been calling different party Rental companies in San Diego, CA and nobody can tell me or break it down for me

Hey, Im looking into starting an event rental business. How many chairs and tables do you think I should start off with? I want to have everything up and running by May. I was thinking 100 chairs, 10 rectangular and round tables each and 2 10X20 tents.

I starting taking bookings before purchasing anything. That way I knew how much to buy of what
@JarvaB8 ай бұрын
Thanks, how did you get the orders? Did you have a website already? I wanted to get my website together prior to purchasing anything, I feel like that's going to take a lot of time and be time consuming. I have $5000 saved up for inventory.@@Lawngames4you

What would you recommend, when you have 40 competitors MINIMUM, just in the city, to stand out and get the bookings? When everyone is trying to undercharge
@therentalguy9 ай бұрын
Get items that they don’t have. If everyone is renting Chaivari chairs be the only one to carry rustic crossback chairs. Not only are you distancing yourself from the price war happening from your city, you are making yourself stand out!

Delivery is better if you have an appropriate vehicle.

If you have a warehouse space, and in the event you’re not able to secure reliable modes of drop off, do you think it would be possible to start out as pick up only? I’m asking because I am a small woman and would not be physically able to make deliveries of heavy items
@therentalguy9 ай бұрын
You don’t need to have deliveries. But you will miss out on opportunities for customers that it’s a deal breaker to not have the option of delivery. What items are heavy that you are unable to currently deliver?
@print33289 ай бұрын
@@therentalguy that makes sense. I just imagine it may be difficult for me to deliver several tables and multiple chairs at a time. Thanks so much for your reply!!
