Brian was always the harder rocker of the band. By himself, he really lets go! and WOW! "Resurrection" was recorded in 1992 (not long after Freddie's passing), not released until 1993. notes in Wiki state this video contains "lots of early CGI graphics". There you go.

Cozy died in 1998 (so 6 years after this) which also was quite a loss for Brian.

Cozy died 2 weeks prior to the release of Brian's second album Another World (Cozy played drums on that album too)... 😢 A tragic loss for his loved ones, his friend Brian and for all music world... 💔

Spectacular! Solo Bri was a total animal in the 90's, especially live! He has a criminally underrated singing voice and has just as much power over a crowd as well. His solo works (especially live) are so raw and he just bares his soul. Going solo was how Brian processed his grief for Freddie as well as his father's death (which took place very close together) and dealing with depression among other things going on. If you haven't already, definitely check out "back to the light" and "Driven by you" live at Brixton! With this song, I feel its about his battle with depression (I think his climbing the mountains are a metaphor for that) and he's determined to try to "rise up" out of his dark place to the light and "resurrect" himself. I love the imagery of the mountains and flames. While he has a sweet gentility, and his speaking voice is silk/velvety soft, gentle, calm and warm, at the same time it has a special power and grabs your attention and respect. While he is every inch a gentleman, he is definitely not to be trifled with!

I love this song and video, he is my favorite guitar player so I love all his stuff. Cozy Powell was part of the Jeff Beck Group as well as a few other great bands. What an amazing drummer he was.

I am glad I got to see Brian May and Cozy Powell live at the Royal Albert hall in 1993 before Cozys sad passing

Legendary Cozy Powell on Drums (He played with Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Brian May, and a Lot of more Legends). He was a part of those Drummers who brought Double Bass Drums into Hard Rock and then to Metal. Cozy was also one of the only Drummers who couldve replaced John Bonham in Led Zeppelin. This Song was an instrumental on Cozy's solo Album and then for Brians solo album they turned it into something more. Brian used all his emotion for this song. Also Brian rarely taps and usually doesnt do Solos as Crazy as he does on this Song which is what makes it so special. Live this Song is even crazier imo.

Brian May sounds great, as usual, great vocals here from here as well, and really a great song, if only I could not associate it with his (maybe) negative feelings he seems to be portraying re: his years with Queen, and Freddie. :(

There were NO negative feelings of Queen and Freddie, Brian was deeply depressed by losing Freddie and Queen (along with losing his father in 1991 just a few months prior to Freddie) and this was like a therapy and way of dealing with all that hard stuff... Bri suffered a lot, to the point he even contemplated suicide (the only thing preventing him from doing that was a thought of his kids) and he eventually checked himself at a rehab clinic in US.
