I love this song from Brian. He had been going through a depression after Freddie and his dad passed away. The album Back to the Light was healing for him, IMO. Thank you for reacting to this and thanks Nick!

The track was originally Cozy's but he offered it to Brian who wrote lyrics and added the 🎸. It was Brian's way of fighting the depression and that's why you can almost hear Queen and Freddie in the music. Brian's 🎸 and how he writes music is unique, but beeing part Queen was (is) his mindset. Brian has been fighting depression caused by his divorce in 1988, not beeing able to se his children, death of his father and Freddie in 1991. It was hard and eventually he checked himself to a rehab clinic in US. He said that at the hardest time even music didn't reach the darkness he was in ... 😢 But eventually he managed to get better. Cozy Powell was an astonishing drummer, tragically died in a car crash in 1998. He was on his way to his girlfriend who had problems with her husband. Cozy wad driving fast to get there and was on the phone with her at the moment of the impact... 😢

Thanks Rory, always love Brian's phenomenal talents, whether it be finger-picking at break-neck speed or grunge singing, he could do it all... not to mention Cozy Powell on drums, rest in peace my dear soul 'cause you sure earned it on that one!! Another not so grungy song is "Dream of Thee", a ballad about lost love during times of war... Brian wrote and performed the soundtrack for the movie FURIA (French) back in the late 90's... or another sweet love song is "Why Don't We Try Again" from the ANOTHER WORLD album... blessings.
