Hi Dave, I’m drawing realistic with colored pencils. To me you are one of the view artists I really learn so much from. Thank you for sharing your amazing skills. ❤

I agree. It took me a long time floundering around on KZbin to find some people I so enthusiastically wanted to follow and learn from. I guess there's a lot of material on KZbin that is more a demonstration than a tutorial, and not every skilled person is necessarily skilled in imparting skills! I was so happy to chance upon Mr. Porter's art and I'm looking forward to trying this one and so much more.

Thanks for another great lesson, Dave. Have you ever used sanded and toned papers? I prefer those and I was wondering if you had any tips on technique.
@DavePortersArt3 ай бұрын
Hi Dan, I Use Pastelmat dark grey, and I have used Senillier a la carte paper before... the technique is the same 😊🙏

Hi, i have been checking your patreon and i am wondering if you do have some sorts of must have material list ? i am interested by pastel and graphite. Awaiting your answer about if there is one and if so where can i find it to get these missing pencils before joining 🙂

Im having one heck of a time keeping pastel pencils sharp. Pencil sharpeners blunt fast, i got a knife but that just keeps breaking the pastel part, and sanding causes a mess. Sigh 😕. Anyone have better methods?
@DavePortersArt3 ай бұрын
When you sharpen with the knife make I sure it is at least an inch before the tip... and slope it gradually. Here is a video where I show you how I sharpen them... kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYqqp4CQYrNjoNk all the very best 😊🙏
