I have gotten through the most dark and depressing moments in life with not only this video, but Pat's music in general. Idk how, but it speaks to me and it feels like it's mine. This is a musician right here; the way he gets lost in his music is nearly orgasmic for me.

His music heals. I hope that you are okay Barbara.

Same here. I've been listening to pat even when I was in the womb and I guess I'll listen to his music until the day I depart from this world. It has really helped me through tough times.

I’ve seen him perform on the 44 string in person twice. Let me tell you, it is absolutely mesmerizing in every sense of the word. I’ve never heard or seen an audience more focused and silent. If you haven’t seen Pat live, go ASAP. He’s getting old, don’t miss out.

Only Pat metheny would have guitar made like that. I doubt guitar company’s ever considered manufacturing. I could be wrong. This is pats go to guitar sitting around house play a guitar. How else can’t someone adapt an instrument, like it unless it’s played consistently. There is huge difference between 6 and 7 string guitars. Seven string are impossible to play at first. You can’t play campfire chords without mistakes. Stop playing 6six strings for month. Make sure you have time to play seven strings everyday a month. When you adapt to seven strings, your six string guitar feels odd at first. After while you can switch between both , like NO big deal. Why did I go through that, Now it feels normal?

Love PM's music. If I had to choose a favorite guitar player/composer at gun point it would have to be him and I say that because there are others (small number) that, although have different styles, can mesmerize you with their art as well.

Who are the others?. I'm just curious... Also, why at gunpoint? 😉✌️

Agreed also has something to do with the different strings he now uses, no more flat wounds like he used on the 175, now using a lighter roundwound set.
