To that point though, Sherry also asks Leon and Claire if they’re in a relationship and Leon sandbags that hard in the same cutscene that Sherry suggests the two of them adopting her.

Nahhh Claire A/Leon B still a better route even in this remake in terms of pacing and story context. Claire screamed for help when she was grabbed by zombie before Marvin helped her executed better than Leon that act like he just gave up easily. The conversation between Claire and Marvin also way better. With Leon B/2nd run also make sense for him to arrived at the other part of the police station since he knew how to get there. It's also a lot tougher and more fast paced than the A/1st run.

I never understood why Pat thinks green herbs "sometimes don't work". Herbs have a range of recovery from 20% to 30%. If Fine status is 100% to 75% health and yellow Caution is 74% to 50% health and you take an herb at the lower end of yellow or orange Caution then yeah it's not always going to get you back to Fine or yellow Caution? That doesn't mean the game actively denied you a heal, you just got a bad recovery roll and/or you suck at math.

It's probably just because he's internalized the health indicator as Green = 3, Yellow = 2, Red = 1, rather than as a general indicator of an actual hidden health gauge. So if the colour doesn't change, then to him that means nothing happened.

I've only played RE4 and REmake before this one, and the latter I had seen played through on YT at some point prior to playing. So, I'm stopping around the 3hr mark since that's around where I am currently. Interesting to see that I mostly play similarly to Pat, except I'm more liberal with my bullets. It hasn't really come back to haunt me any yet, though I am currently out of launcher rounds (used up between Birkin and Lickers); my pistol has plenty, at least. In any case, this has been a great experience so far, especially since I've been using headphones with that binaural audio. The sound design is awesome. Not sure yet if it'll be up there with RE4 amongst my favorite games, but it certainly seems to be trending in that direction so far.

RE4 was the first RE game I got into when I was younger, so when I first started using KZbin the videos I would search for would be cinematics from the previous RE games. This would eventually lead to me discovering Matt and Pat's Two Best Friends Play video for RE4 and it was probably the first video I favourited on the site that wasn't a RE cinematic.
