@omarrehman4520 Spurs aren't necessarily "slept" on .. they're right after the Lakers in terms of dominating the 2000s .. However, Lakers in a 10 year period had 7 Finals appearances and 5 championships. It took the spurs 15 years(counting 99' to be nice) in order to get those same 5 rings in 6 Finals appearances. So yes, Lakers absolutely were the #1 team of the 2000s but the spurs were right there after them at #2.

Offensively Jokic is one of one. Incredible touch and vision. He’s a more than capable 3 level scorer but he’s much rather get his teammates involved. Generational talent. Tim played his prime in the dead ball era. He probably could’ve scored more had it been required. He didn’t have a 3 ball and was mostly limited to post face up and back down work. A capable passer but there’s levels to this and Joker is the greatest passing big ever. Defensively, it’s another story. Jokic has never been a strong defender, but he works hard to be in good position. Tim was one of the best rim protectors from his first game to his last. Even after his knee was gone and he couldn’t jump anymore he was still regularly top 10 in blocks through discipline, instincts, position, and excellent use and understanding of angels. Jokic needs a few more rings, but for their respective eras I think they are pretty close.
@memonomoto74194 ай бұрын
Timmy might not have been a 3 point shooter, but his long range 2s were pretty deadly too. I watched many times throughout his career him shooting long 2s, his feet just inside the 3 point line, and it was deadly. Only reason he didnt shoot or practice 3s is because it wasnt in the Spurs game plan back then

For the record, in Jokers rookie season at age 20 and Tim's final season at age 39, they played against each other twice. Game 1 Joker was 8 of 13 for 23 points, 12 rebounds, 0 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks in 32 minutes. Tim was 5 of 8 for 12 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 6 blocks in 28 minutes, in a Spurs win. Second game, Joker was 3 of 9 for 8 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in 32 minutes. Tim was 9 of 15 for 21 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 0 steals and 1 block in 32 minutes, in a Nuggets win. Across two games, Joker was 11 of 22, and averaged 15.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.5 steals, and 2 blocks. Tim was 14 of 23, and averaged 16.5 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 0.5 steals, and 3.5 blocks.
