I hate this wide-scale move to crush all freedom of expression. For people who are supposedly all about liberation and freedoms from corporate tyranny, they seem to be suspiciously comfortable with pushing corporations to compromise art, erase difficult ideas and make everyone stupider by never challenging them. I never considered myself to be part of any side, I find partisan political ideals to be largely arbitrary and stupid, but I keep running into people on Salari's side of the fence who irritate me far more often. Whether or not it has produced 'great artistic movements' is besides anything on the grounds of discussion. It has nonetheless extracted our interpretations unwillingly into marketing and advertising. If all that you ask for is 'proof' of another system allowing a renisannce-esque era, let's just repetitively go back and forth from fudalism to capitalism since that transition worked so well. We should NOT be approaching history with the mindset of "this didn't work, so it never will" but instead apply our knowledge of the past to the circumstance of tomorrow.

Bill Burr, Dave Chapelle, Ricky Gervais, Carlin, any number of comedians are excellent artists who ride the line of acceptable and unacceptable extremely well, and are extremely receptive of the response of the audience. Arrested development wasnt that edgy, and definitely not as funny as this dude claims. Dont worry, you're not missing anything. Also, most of the cast on 30 rock acts like they have brain damage. No one acts like a real person, its a parody of a sitcom, and also not very funny or entertaining.
