I did a quick test of the "alt-right pipeline" thing in regards to sensitive societies content by opening up an incognito tab, searching up his content, and only clicking the recommendations of sensitive society's videos for a few minutes. As it turns out, Chud's correct. The recommendations were almost exclusively filled out other commentary videos and the occasional viral video. There is a possibility that there might be some Steven Crowder or Ben Shapiro in there if you continue that process over a long enough time, but even then you would have to engage with those recommendations for youtube to continue feeding you them. Saying that Sensitive Society is responsible for the KZbin algorithm is completely ridiculous.

As an aside, my opinion is that "substance" in this context should simply be replaced by "stimulus", then we can easily apply the addiction framework to all the crazy stuff modern technology makes available to us (social media, games, junk food, etc.). Ethan's argument hinges on there not being an equivalent to the directly named "gambling disorder" in the DSM for adult content. If you take the criteria for gambling disorder or substance abuse disorder and make some very logical and mild extrapolations, it gets pretty obvious that it _should_ be considered a "real" addiction for some people. Basically, he has a child's comprehension of the manual.
