Hello John, I have another thought for you. I’ve seen several KZbinrs with an amazon storefront linked in their comments. They maintain a store front of all of their favorite things and I believe they get a cut of each purchase made from that link. I’ve already purchased a couple of gadgets I’ve seen in your videos after doing some searching! Just a thought.

The Amazon affiliate program would be a great idea as it costs the viewers nothing extra when they want to buy the sauce pan or thermometer you are using...or even order the black treacle or other British ingredients that most stores in the US don’t carry. Had no idea you could get beef suet from Amazon until I went to check on other ingredients I’ve seen in your videos but never run across at my local grocery.

I've approached a couple of the big flour manufacturers ST, one of them replied with "No thanks we do our own advertising" and that was when I had over 3 million views on just ONE of my baguette videos.

Think that would take a lot of people emailing in before they take would notice but it's worth a try. By the way my baguette video is well over 4 million now :o), I'll keep plugging away at them though.

I'd love to support John but no way will that happen through Patreon. Patreon is dead to me. John is still the greatest and even though I've been carnivore for over 6 months I faithfully watch and 'thumbs-up' every new video he releases. I find that John's videos have a calming effect on me. It is sad that someone as genuine and non-controversial/non-political as John might fall short of his goal because of something completely unrelated to him or his videos but free speech is still important and Patreon is decidedly not about free speech. Please find a Patreon alternative and I'll happily sign on.

I agree with the comments about Patreon, but will gladly donate through PayPal. I love your videos and subscribed after watching the first one. You have a lovely voice and a relaxed, yet well organized, approach that demystifies good cooking. I like that your recipes are mostly for 'comfort foods' and achievable in a home kitchen. You project an attitude that says "this is no big deal.Just follow the steps." I am unfamiliar with the Amazon affiliate program mentioned by Jason Bailey but it does seem to be a viable option. Just don't overwork, keep this fun! No burn-out allowed. We want you around for a long time!

You might not want to go with Patreon, John. Word has it, it's in for a dive (which could mean losing out on money when they do). Its CEO called the company _not viable_ . Why not simply use Paypal? They only take about 3% transaction fees, whereas Patreon takes 10%. Anyway, happy to donate and keep up the fine job you do on here.

The only thing i would say is, it appears that Patreon's days may be drawing to a close with their recent banning's and the comments from their CEO over the last week. It may be a good idea to open a Subscribe star account as well. I personally no longer will pay money to Patreon and have moved over to Subscribe star now all of the content creators i used to support have moved over there.

FACE REVEAL HAS HAPPENED. but i would agree, you dont have only your living costs while filming, editing...you also have to pay for the ingredients. also, i'd say, if someone is seriously into baking, you sharing these recipes means also that you share professional secrets and tricks from i guess over 30 years of experience.

For your consideration...I see a lot comments about a certain story book character 🐻🐯🐷🐰 and perhaps you might leave a bigger mark by reading the Milne & Shepard series. Imagine the hundreds of thousands of children hearing these loved stories brought to life again and again. It would certainly be a lasting legacy and a fitting tribute to the ninety year anniversary. Some content creators do have alternate channels for just such things.

John, Add me to those who would like to support the production of your videos, but, like others, refuse to have anything to due with Patreon due to their arbitrary censorship policy. I stopped supporting the 3 content creators I had subscribed to. If they move to other platforms (Subscribe Star, PayPal, etc.) I'll be happy to start supporting then again. So open an alternative account so I can get on board. PS: We're still making ciabatta bread 8 loaves at a time.
