To understand SHINee's "Good Evening" MV what you need to know is that it had only been about 5 months when this MV came out since Jonghyun died, and this song and MV is all about how SHINee and Shawols have been grieving and are finally ready to begin to heal and come out of the darkness into the light. The album is called The Story of Light and it's all about finding the light out of the darkness, etc. It's about how the members are learning to continue on without Jonghyun and find happiness and light in a situation that will forever be difficult. May 25, 2018, when this MV was released, was SHINee's 10th anniversary, so this was also important because it was a comeback to commemorate their 10 years as a group. The choreography for "Good Evening" is very deliberate. The reason the choreography is like that is because it depicts them going through the grieving process and it tells the story of all the emotions they went through and how, now at the end, they have made the choice to continue on as a group and keep on running, etc. The choreography is really complex and beautiful and really fits the song well. It becomes clearer once you see it in its entirety and start to understand the story behind it all. You really should check out SHINee's dance practice video for "Good Evening" to see the full choreography. (You should also check out SHINee's rollercoaster version of the choreography that they performed on Weekly Idol.) Fun fact: the choreographer for this song was Koharu Sugawara, who was featured in Taemin's "Move" MV, as well as choreographed several of Taemin's other songs, and also collaborated with several other choreographers on Taemin's "Criminal" MV. As you may remember, she is a famous Japanese choreographer who has known Taemin for years, so it was really special she was able to work on this project because she got to be a part of SHINee's healing process. In the MV, not only is the extra shadow that appears when they look into the tunnel/well at the end speculated to be Jonghyun's shadow, but the fox is thought to also represent him. Onew intensely stares into the eyes of the fox, almost as if he is communicating with the fox through his thoughts, and, to me, it's as if he is sharing a moment with Jonghyun. There is a fox in the story "The Little Prince" and "The Little Prince" was one of Jonghyun's favorite stories. Plus, a fox often represents the afterlife and the spirit of someone who has passed on reincarnated in many cultures. Also in the beginning there is an empty chair. An empty chair is often used to represent the spirit of someone who has passed on as well. But that's just a small portion of the hidden messages within this MV. If you really delve in deep you will discover that the whole MV can be connected to SHINee forever being 5 members and them including Jonghyun in all that they do. There are 5 trees at the end, which could represent the fact that, as Onew has said, even though you may only see 4 members on stage, SHINee will forever be a group of 5. They are in a room full of cameras and their images are being projected on the TV screens, which I see as representing the fact that because SHINee is living in the public eye they can never escape from always being watched by the public. Which doesn't allow them the private space to really grieve and to express themselves and they are always being judged (both the members in their grieving process and what Jonghyun had to go through and what ultimately led him to feeling the way he did, etc.) This MV used a lot of green and aqua blue light to depict the cool and somber feel of the story, but it also was used because pearl aqua blue/green is SHINee's fan color and it was used to represent Jonghyun's presence all around them and the support and solidarity they felt with Shawols. The story in the MV is showing the 5 stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance) the members went through and how they have now at the end of the MV started to find their way out of it and have made the choice to continue to keep on running and continue on as a group, etc. But I could go on and on ... every part of this MV has a deeper message and meaning, you just have to open yourself up to the fact that everything in this MV has multiple meanings and purposes. You see Minho with those oranges, which is really just a giant pile of orange peels, because this part is supposed to depict how he is blindly just going through life, not even able to process what is happening around him. He is not even looking at the peels. It is like his body and mind is on autopilot. If you notice, none of the members ever make eye contact with the camera the entire MV and even in their live performances of the song, you will never see them look at the camera. This was done deliberately as well because they wanted to show how in their grief they were blind to everything that was going on around them and they were closed off to the world and didn't care what was happening outside of themselves even though the world was watching their every move. The part where Key smashes the piano is only one example of of how SHINee shows how they felt for a while after Jonghyun died -- they were angry at everything, including music, and in a way they were blaming "music" and their careers for what happened, and in the MV they were taking their anger out on the piano, etc. The plastic sheet and them flailing under water is supposed to represent how they felt suffocated in their grief and how grieving while in the public eye made them feel trapped at times, etc. Every scene, every image, every movement in their dance, every look, every moment they stand still or look blankly, etc. is very deliberate and is there for a reason. This comeback is part of a three part release celebrating SHINee's 10th anniversary. So they released 3 mini albums with 5 songs each in their The Story of Light trilogy and they had 3 comebacks each 2 weeks apart to showcase their lead track on each of their albums. "Good Evening" and "All Day All Night" were their comeback tracks from Episode 1, " I Want You" and "Who Waits for Love" were their comebacks from Episode 2 and Episode 3 was "Our Page" and "Tonight". Their comeback lasted 6 weeks to represent the fact that it was SHINee's 6th "full length" album. At the end of the six weeks they released a special final MV to celebrate their anniversary and all they have been through over the past 10 years with their song "Countless." "Countless" was an epilogue track that was added to their repackaged Story of Light album. FYI: Make sure when you watch "Our Page" that you also pair the MV with the official lyric video. Every word of "Our Page" was wrote by the members and it's all about Jonghyun. If you know what the lyrics are about it will help you to understand the story being told in the MV. (It would be helpful to understand the lyrics first BEFORE watching the MV.) The official lyric video is posted on SM's !t Live channel, kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5uTl6qHqbpmgcU. Before this comeback SHINee had just come off their SHINee World Concert V (SWC5) world tour and the members were doing solo activities as they worked on what was going to be an epic 10th anniversary comeback. With Jonghyun's passing, that set them back a few months because they were grieving. It also took time to figure out how they were supposed to function without Jonghyun. But SHINee never really stopped working. Two months after Jonghyun died, SHINee held their SHINee World -- The Best from Now On Concert in Japan and they pretty much were working nonstop until Onew, Key and Minho's enlistment. That concert had originally been planned as part of their 10th anniversary celebration and it had already been sold out. So SHINee felt obligated to honor their fans and continue the concert despite everything, which meant some extra work, because they already had been planning everything with Jonghyun. So they had to quickly go back to the drawing board and figure out how to do it with only 4 members and still honor Jonghyun's memory. In SHINee's fan meeting/concert for their 10th anniversary the members all vowed that SHINee will always be 5 and that Jonghyun will always be involved in everything they do. I think we are always going to have reminders of him in all that SHINee does from now on, and that is the way it should be. He was loved and will never be forgotten, and when possible, should always be involved in things that have to do with SHINee. OT5 forever and ever. I think we can feel Jonghyun's presence and influence in this album and songs because a lot of what made SHINee's sound uniquely SHINee (and this album is no exception) was because of Jonghyun. He not only shaped SHINee's sound because he was the main vocal of the group, but, as you know, he also wrote and composed around 40% of SHINee's songs, so he can be felt in everything they do. It wouldn't be SHINee if we didn't hear his influence shine through in their music, that is what makes SHINee's sound so unlike any other. And, because of that, I think from now on we will always be searching for the hidden messages and moments that represent Jonghyun in everything SHINee does.

amazing piece!! i can remember my first time seeing the mv after Jonghyun's passing and the particular imagery from the mv that really shook me by how subtle but beautiful it is was the final shot (here in KpopPrince's vid at 15:02) with the well .... the way that you can CLEARLY see the shadow as a fifth person really made me jump when i realized it was for him, it's so striking. i really admire the members and their team for making such a special video, and i hope it helped them with the grieving process to allow them to express all those feelings. may Jonghyun rest in peace 💙

Super Junior are never serious unless it's a serious situation. The more you get to know them you will realize you have to take everything you see with a grain of salt because the majority of what they say and do is them joking around and making fun of each other. And, everything they do is over the top, fun and full of antics. For example, the crazy dance break that they have in this MV is all freestyle and it's classic SuJu. They often do this same type of thing in a lot of their MVs, such as "Black Suit," "Devil," "Super Clap," "House Party," etc. That's what makes SuJu comedic geniuses, because all the members are really good at improvisation, and, you will soon discover that, a lot of their best moments in everything they do are just off the cuff ideas they come up with spur of the moment. And, of course, the vocals are insane, Super Junior is an OG group from SM Entertainment, so you shouldn't expect any less. Plus, Super Junior has the 3 best vocalists -- Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung -- who make up the sub-unit Super Junior-K.R.Y. Super Junior-K.R.Y. is the industry's very first sub-unit and they are a ballad unit who have an unbelievable vocal range. Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung are the vocal standard in the industry, who set the bar that all other vocalists are measured against. But as an SM group, all the members of Super Junior are amazing singers -- even their rappers have been known to fill in as a main vocalist on occasion. Super Junior knows exactly what they are doing. They haven't been in the industry for this long without being experts at reinventing themselves and coming up with something new and innovative with every comeback. Super Junior debuted Nov. 6, 2005, and "Don't Wait" is their pre-release track on their 11th full length album Vol.1 The Road: Keep Going. Super Junior are known for their story based MVs, their catchy choreography and their goofy fun concepts. Some of their other songs with fun storylines you should check out if you haven't already are "Motorcycle" by Super Junior-D&E; "Mamacita," "Devil," "Black Suit," "Magic" and "No Other" by Super Junior; and Super Junior-M's "Super Girl" and "Swing". After almost 17 years, Super Junior has done pretty much every genre of music. SuJu are never afraid to experiment with their sound or style and they are known for coming up with original concepts and setting trends. And because the group is so diverse, with so many unique members (at their peak they had 15 members, currently they are a 10 member group with 9 active members), this allows them to be able to do almost anything. They are the founders of the Hallyu Wave (making Korean culture popular internationally) for a reason. There is almost nothing in the Kpop industry that SuJu hasn't had a hand in creating. SuJu's discography also includes several repackaged albums, as well as a multitude of mini albums. Plus, they have 5 sub-units -- Super Junior-K.R.Y. (made up of Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung -- SJ's main vocalists), Super Junior-D & E (made up of Donghae and Eunhyuk), Super Junior-T (Trot -- which is like a cross between the equivalent of western old-style country music and cabaret music. It's older-style Korean pop music that's all about being kind of cheesy, fun and over the top.), Super Junior-M (Mandarin Chinese) and Super Junior-H (Happy). And they have 12 members in total, and most of them also have solo tracks and albums. So yes, they have plenty of songs to check out, as well as numerous live performances and concert footage. Super Junior was the first group to ever hold 100 concerts back in 2014, and there have been dozens more since then. So, I don't think you will run out of Super Junior things to watch for a very long time. LOL (The just began their 9th world tour -- Super Show 9 -- a couple of weeks ago.) Super Junior has their own record label -- Label SJ -- which is under SM Entertainment, but also more independent, so they are able to collaborate with other Kpop artists outside of SM Entertainment and even non-Kpop artists such as Latin artists like REIK and Leslie Grace. Super Junior members range in age from 39-32. But, as you will discover, they are actually more like a group of teenage boys. They are one of the most unique groups when it comes to the dynamics of the members personalities -- they truly are fun, crazy, over the top and aren't afraid to just let their freak flag fly when they interact with each other. Case in point, check out their two behind the scenes videos for "Don't Wait," you will get a sample of what they are really like as a group and see just how crazy they can be. SJ are legends in the industry and they have paved the way for almost everything you see in the Kpop industry today. They set the standard for how Kpop is promoted around the world. They are also the first group to have serious roles in all the other entertainment industries -- setting the standard on how a Kpop star branches out into all parts of the industry. They are not only singers and dancers but members are musicians, composers, songwriters, lyricists, music and video producers, TV and movie actors, stage actors, models, radio DJs/ hosts, variety show hosts/MCs, authors, etc. Pretty much anything we think of as a standard part of the Kpop industry was created because of them. They were the first Kpop group to have non-Korean members, the first group to have dedicated sub-units and the first Kpop group to have a sub-unit that focused on producing songs in Mandarin for the Chinese audience. (Super Junior-M's popularity in China is the whole reason why EXO-M even existed.)

SHINee Good Evening it expresses their feelings of lost and getting their synchornicity at the end is them getting back together and pulling together as a group. Thats what it feels to me. Also the choreo by the choreographer had them looking at each other and not the cameras or to the front of the stage. The choreo is personal and it's like they are givimg each other strength to keep going. There were times in live stages that Minho had to support Taemin when he would belt out a long note before the chair choreography part because he would feel light headed and wanted to fall. Minho would put his hand behind him to support him. It was difficult when they preformed the song at the time, but seeing them perform it when they did their Ringtone comeback for Dont Call Me, the vibe was different they were in a better mind set. The album The Story of Light Epilogue is amazing and night and day from Dont Call Me. I think they needed to release a light hearted album to show the public that they were ok mentally. The story of light is their most mature album and it will suit your preference. Truly underrated and one of my top SHINee albums. You should hear it.

super junior does have serious mvs but they love the humor and funny mvs and it became their thing. I don’t know how to explain but it worked well with them and it amplified when it helped them in getting attention and the funny humorous personalities is why they are one if not the most group in variety shows
@millowmellow9475
@millowmellow9475 Жыл бұрын
1) suju: honestly most suju mvs always had this funny and humor + ridiculousness since debut it’s like their “thing” and as a casual listener to their music I think it’s one of their strongest points as a group and one of the main reason they are still going strong as a group and as why they get casted in lots of variety shows 2)shinee: good evening is from their tenth anniversary album and they split it up into 3 eps and four title tracks, good evening was the first title track. The lyrics for good evening isn’t an ode to Jonghyun but the 3rd tt is the one they wrote as an ode to Jonghyun it’s called “our page”. Good evening mv is about how the public sees them and how they are uncomfortable under that kind of spotlight, the last part of the song and the mv is about how they really are and breaking free from certain narratives ppl think about them. Tell me what to do mv story is very simple like you mentioned lmao; they joked about it before a lot I think what songs would you like from them is probably their repackaged songs and ballads 3) vixx: fun fact but chained up era, the album actually came with bdsm contract it was wild. would like to also mention that not all vixx concepts are dark but their most famous ones are the dark ones that’s why non fans think all their concepts are dark. Vixx is one of the groups who go all out on their concepts

Heechul doesn't appear as much in the newer videos because he doesn't really do the dances anymore before because of his leg. It's too difficult for him because of the pain from practicing. Ugh, Tell Me What to Do is one of my favorite Shinee songs and Good Evening was such an epic comeback after everything. I'd agree that the "Don't Call Me" album wasn't my taste particularly either but I think it was an album that Shinee just really needed after "The Story of Light" album series which was a really emotionally heavy series for obvious reasons. So "Don't Call Me" allowed them to step outside all of that and just have some fun and that's why I love it.

Love seeing VIXX reactions! I cracked up a bit when you were like "it has Other Implications" about Chained Up: the albums came with 'ownership contracts', BDSM was the main intended implication ;)
@MeruHina
@MeruHina Жыл бұрын
Chained Up is straight up a BDSM concept canon. The album came with a BDSM contract of a member which you could "sign". Concept Kings is not just a title they received for their MVs alone, they took their concept all the way to the lyrics, their choreo and their album design as well 😊 And as some have already mentioned, Dynamite's lyrics are dark haha The lyrics are basically about a super jealous guy who gets drunk and wants to be with this girl, but jealousy is consuming him and making him act reckless. I emphasize on the "drunk" part because it's in the lyrics, in the choreo and I think this also translates as to why the video is kind of dark but still colorful.

On their 17th years of their career, Super Junior is making music just for ELFs and for fun only. Including the MV and Don't Wait was the meaning of fun. Not the “Don’t Call Me” album slander. 😭 The best part about Shinee is the fact that they can do any and all genres of music. My favorite album is 1 of 1. It’s one of my favorite kpop albums of all time. I also recommend listening to other albums of theirs and then go back and listen to Don’t Call Me again. It will make more sense. The album was meant to be celebratory and fun because it was a gift for Shawol to celebrate the boys getting out of the military. Also…the previous album was quite melancholy and sad in places due to the circumstances so I think Shawols really needed to have a happier album this time. They do have such a beautiful discography though. Pretty much tried everything…so you are bound to find something you like. ☺️

I need more Suju's emotional song reaction. Most people nowadays have known them for being funny but i fell in love with them bcs of their passion in their craft especially their musicality and stage performance. They are really talented and creative and innovative. No wonder they are last longer despite all the hard challenges. Facing new generation new taste, all the love and hate, but still overcome it. I've known kpop since 2009 bcs of Suju, but not interested to get involved in Idol. Im a fan of running man esp jihyo, watching her in knowing bro, and then KB suju episode poped in my utube home. Then i start digging all their old to new varietie shows. Then i fell in love with their music. I am a living proof that Suju still gain fans in their 17 years of career. I don't think SuJu were EVER completely serious, on the contrary, self irony was in the concept from the outset, eg an early vid which explicitly makes fun of the whole boy group genre is "Happiness" (which was a cover of H.O.T.). Without it I wouldn't love them half as much, and I think in addition to their talent, it is what has ensured their longevity. We all expected the lady in yellow to be a member, but we thought it would be Heechul. But Leeteuk has also done a few crazy drag appearances, almost all of the members have. It's not just when they desire a girl (eg in "U" it's a real girl, Yoona of Girls' Generation), drag is a thing in K-Pop in general, not as much as it used to be though, and SuJu are particularly famous for it, eg because Heechul is often said to be more beautiful than any woman, so it is something of a throwback here too. Leeteuk playing a vain playboy here who gives "himself" a thumbs up as a girl is genius. The video to "Sorry Sorry" is a K-Pop classic and hence a must. The iconic choreography is by Nick Bass and Trent Dickens who worked with the likes of Michael Jackson. And the b&w aesthetic stood out by classy understatement at the time (it reminds me of 60s Beatles films), and it also introduced SuJu wearing suits, for which they became known and which also made them timeless.

SHINee's The Story of Light is a genius album. One long love letter to Jonghyun - it's one of my favorites. And yes, while Jjong isn't singing, he's still there in a way I don't know how to express. Shawols, if you can't listen to it, that's ok! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise (I still haven't listened to Poet | Artist or OP #2 or One and One) (maybe some day). As for SHINee songs that are more your jam, uh, literally their entire discography. If you're looking for one album to react to, I recommend Married to the Music (Odd repackage), or The Misconceptions of Us (Misconceptions of You, Misconceptions of Me repackage). SHINee have always have a much more diverse discography than their title tracks might suggest. I think Atlantis was a bit of an outlier because it is, overall, a pretty happy album (there is melancholy in Area, written by Minho w/assistance from Jonghyun, hee). For particular songs that might flick your switch, I recommend (and you may have to react to some on Patreon, because music shows): Moon River Drop - live - kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGGVZ4uCiKlpi6s One Minute Back - live (either the Mcountdown kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppPFqGyuabhqaM0 or any of the concert versions) Orgel - live - kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4TGZYyvmZ50etE Alive - live - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZOccoShmruoo5o Tell Me Your Name (fancam, Jinki's not there) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqjWg3Sql7mAm68 Kimi No Sei De (fancam, insane choreo) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaHYmayLbamdobc Picasso - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZKug4xqr5Z2Z6M I hope you get a chance to react to everyone's solo work as well! It's wide and as varied as the members themselves. SHINee are just magic. eta: There's a reason I dropped all live links!!

i'd like to mention that GOOD EVENING was the first song for shinee as four members, after the loss of JONGHYUN, so this song expresses their feelings toward JONGHYU, toward eachother, and toward their life and job as celebrities. u can notice the shadow of a person on the well's wall, that's JONHYUN's shadow, so at first they r feeling lost, and stuck with their sad memories, but at the and they decide to let go, actually that's what the 5 of them decided , (the shadow went back to where it was after looking at eachother ) then they continue their lives without forgetting him, knowing that he'll be always there.

I really hope you react to more vixx. I like your reactions and would to watch more. Some suggestions are Scentist (Concept: perfume:the story of a murderer), Fantasy (conception trilogy: greek myth), The Closer (conception trilogy: greek myth), Error (cyborgs), Eternity (time loop), Hyde (jekyll and hyde)...I've basically suggested most of their title tracks. All of them have different concepts and are brilliantly done. There is also gr8u, which is a happier song and the Jekyll to Hyde. Re: the rooms in Chained Up. I heard somewhere that the rooms are based on the members fears. Like drowning for Hongbin and being the center of attention for Leo.

Oh honey, I love that because you’re not yet that familiar with VIXX, Dynamite feels like a bright concept 😅 the thing is VIXX are concept kings, so when they go bright, it’s filled with enough sugary sweetness to rot a person’s teeth - I’m looking at the likes of Love Equation, GR8U and Rock Ur Body. Believe me, I’m just easing you in 😅

well, dynamite is a song about jealousy, and the mv is about making chaos at someone's marriage ceremony. i guess that's why they didnt cheerfully smile in the mv

Dynamite definitely sounds like a bright song but when you look into the lyrics and rlly analyse the mv it's pretty dark😅 some actual bright vixx songs I would reccomend listening to would be(that have a mv), 'superhero'(debut track), 'rock ur body', 'love equation', 'milky way'(This is a song dedicated to thier fans) and 'G.R.8.U'(this is a part of their jekyll and hyde concept, which I also recommend listening to it's counterpart 'hyde' since you said you like dark concepts) Loved the reaction btw!

OMG these 3 together in one video? My cuties, yaaas They said that Good evening is like others and media see them and I want you is more like they see them selfs. Something like that, so you are right about the meaning. Also the choreography is made in a way that they didn't need to look to the front, to the audience, just in a few moments they do look. The predominant color is our official color, and we believe that the fox represents our Jjong. These whole album is amazing and hard to listen for the first time, but is beautiful

it's well worth checking out the good evening live stages in your own time. the choreography is amazing, it was done by koharu sugawara who also did Taemin's Move, you can probably see that style she and him both love in there. But she specifically told them NOT to look at the camera like you'd usually do on a kpop stage. their performance is for themselves instead, and they're not giving the media what it wants (playing into the theme of the MV too). it's a song/choreography mix that always gets me so emotional because you're right, it really does "bloom". it goes from... not necessarily slow but maybe muted? and builds up from them literally sitting still and moving minimally to actually exploding in their moves. ugh i could rave about it all day. i hope you can check out I want you and our page (and countless) from the story of light album sometime!

Yeah Chained Up by VIXX is a BDSM concept lol of course it's used as a reference to the feeling of being tied or chained to a relationship but they know the other context it has, I have the album and it came with a "slave contract" for one of the members xD A wild concept to think about in the idol world but VIXX has always gone out of the box

Part of the trick for understanding the Dynamite MV is understanding that it's part of a trilogy that was released in reverse order. So while Dynamite was released first, it's actually the final part of the story. The order is The Closer, Fantasy, Dynamite.

It took me awhile to watch Good Evening and I definitely cried. I cried more with Our Page though. Tell Me What to Do has always been my fave title track from SHINee. Chained Up is one of my least favorites of VIXX's title tracks but their styling was so on point for it (especially Leo's) and Dynamite is mid-tier for me. If you want to see them do an even brighter concept than Dynamite that would be G.R.8.U. They even learned the lyrics backwards for that MV. There's also Super Hero and Rock Ur Body.

To explain tsol ( the story of light ) comeback Think of red velvet reve festival albums. The tsol comeback was the same with three mini albums that in the end make a one big full album with each mini release there was also a different title track; good evening was the first one; the lyrics isn’t sad actually and this one along with the second title track called “I want you” were more about them as a group, good evening was to represent how the media and public sees them and “I want you” was about how they see themselves; the third tt was called “our page” and the mv is very sad and the lyrics they wrote themselves as an ode to Jonghyun. Knowing your preference in songs I would suggest the third mini because it’s the ballad and has the emotional songs in it and from what you liked from them I would say you would like the ballads from them while not like the other type of music from them so yeah I would suggest the third mini about vixx too by the way each one in chained up mv was different fear ( think of svt fear mv as well) mixed with bdsm lol because the album came with bdsm contract and all that. vixx have variety of concepts they mainly do different types of dark concepts and it’s their most famous type of concepts

Sorry sorry isn't really peak suju in my opinion, songs like twins (debut), don't don, it's you, miracle, etc do such a good job of standing the test of time. I'd suggest listening to those songs cause it sucks that's suju is seen as the "corny" group( even if that is true to some extent) 😂

I still don’t understand the don’t call me album criticism because it isn’t a sad album like what’s wrong with the album not being sad 😅 I hope this doesn’t come as harsh because that’s not my intention, but I feel like many, you too did have an image that their songs must or should be sad because of what happened and got disappointed when that didn’t happen idk but that’s the vibe I’m getting because I saw other albums reactions from you and you seemingly only has this issue when it comes to don’t call me album and it’s weird not gonna lie. Anyways what I got from other shinee reactions I will say you most likely will only like their ballads or songs with sad lyrics and song like the majority of their music same with their solo albums I don’t think you would enjoy it much maybe a bit better than their group albums tho Other sad I would like to mention ghat vixx also has variety of music not just dark type of songs , it’s just their most popular mvs are mostly the ones with the dark concepts so sets that idea that their stuff are mainly just dark concepts

Pop love songs are fine, just usually not what I look for most of the time. My favorite songs usually aren't those. Definitely don't think it needed to be sad because of what happened, that's a little weird to insinuate.

@@KpopPrince Idk you said everyone said that SHINee are very experimental. And I think you hoped that every song on that album are totally different. I have to say SHINee are experimental and tried many genres but it still somehow has that SHINee twist to it so it always suits them. However I think in an album they mostly stick to an genre and only bring a few instruments in that are not tipical (not always). But over the years and over the albums they did a lot. I also thing over the years they chose a bit of a more grounded sound and as not crazy instrumentals like fx did. Hope u understood what I wanted to say. BTW I really like the DCM album it's very SHINee sounding and remembers me a bit of the 1 of 1 album.
