My parents found the whole town + every character in a bargain bin sometime in 1988. I got the whole lot that Christmas. Man, they were the coolest. I loved the stagecoach. I wish I still had most of it. Some is left in their attic. 30-30 with 2 legs. One legged Marshall Bravestarr. At least they got used. I do wish they picked up a second set for my shelves though!

Watching these toy reviews really make me wish I could relive my childhood over again. There were so many cool toylines on the go back then. I had both Bravestarr, and Tex Hex. Got them both for my birthday one year. Now it's all superheroes, lego, Transformers, WWE, and that's it. Toy companies don't seem to want to take a chance on anything original like back in those days.

Good to see Mattel releasing a playset by portions or a full boxed one. This allows people with less budget to slowly assemble a full playset or just focus on the sections they are interested in. That was a really cool practice that would be nice to see in retail with nowadays toys.

My Cousins son had the whole Fort Kerium in Scotland when the toy line was fading somewhat. He had the fort, Thirty Thirty, the stagecoach and both Bravestar and tex with the laser backpacks. Oh! and the little deputy, Handlebar (my favorite) and Tex Hex's skull ride. I remember the plunger which blew up the pars pf the playset so well. Also, the laser fire figures worked well and they raised their guns as they fired. Quality toys.

Wowzers. I was looking at the thumbnail for this, and for some reason the deputy looked like a tanuki statue outside of a Japanese drugstore.

Danke for uploading this! I loved the show and watched it in Germany via SKY Tv. It also came a bit later to Germany but I think we didn't have the whole toy line. Sadly it was very pricey so I was happy with what I had like my few Transformers etc. Never saw the Fort and cool to see it now with its details and transformation. I was totally in awe as a kid when the town transformed ^^. So thanks again, keep up the great videos and Hallo from Germany : )

Pretty cool looking set's right there and figures, seen the cartoons some when I was a kid but never did see any of the toy's but did have the Masters of the Universe figures. Cool to see that the same tech for Captain Powers was used for this toy line, some resin could see that tech being used in today's time maybe if brought back into the toy line.

Better and more informative than the History and Discovery channels ever used to be, I loved this! Again, great choice Nick, and ditto job, Michael :D Great effects and music choice, I look forward to learning more about this toyline. I thought a friend of mine had this set, but it was nowhere near as big. So now that I've seen this video, I know he had a part of the set and not the full fortress. Keep up the great work! :)

Loved the video. They just don't make playsets like they used to. BraveStarr is an interesting one to me- I know it existed but I don't remember ever seeing the toys anywhere (maybe in the Sears Christmas catalog). I can remember all sorts of the more "fringe" toys (Wheeled Warriors, Crystar, etc)- but I never had any of these. I can live vicariously through your collection! :-)
@MichaelMercy6 жыл бұрын
It's amazing how big everything is in Fort Kerium, but that's fitting considering how big the figures were too. I guess they thought toys had to be larger as the 80s kids were growing? Always wanted Crystar but was never able to get one back in the day, and they go for quite a bit of dough now!

cool stuff.are you going to review other Bravestarr stuff ? my buddy had the bank and Jail portion of the Fort. he did buy the main part but when we got back to his house we found it was missing parts so we had to return it and he never got another as it was the last one in the shop (this was years before Ebay) . he also had the stage coach. one thing about the parts he had is they also came with two red Gatling cannons too, and for the front of the jail deck your meant to fold down the wing like parts to the tabs and it helps to hold the guns up.

Am I getting my memories mixed up? I thought BraveStarr had an interactive VHS game with the light guns, similar to the Action Max VHS games. Am I thinking of a different toy/cartoon product? Was there ever an action figure+VHS game? Thanks big kids!
