I feel like there's times where he should be putting the game away and it's a quick 3 and out drive. He just needs to win big games. He barely escaped the cowboys last year in the playoffs. Teams they've played have been mediocre, not the 49ers fault they play who they have to and they dominate but the roster overall is just great. We need to see him in big games against elite teams. Purdy's row would put him ranked somewhere from 10-14, which really isn't THAT low. The debate is just splitting hairs. His skill position players are SO good that I don't think it's reasonable to say he's a top 5 guy, even with the stats, because his stats do get inflated by the talent around him. I also think it's telling that when Josh Johnson came in against the Eagles the team COMPLETELY fell apart. Purdy is a stud, but unlike most of the guys above him we don't know what happens when the game is put on his shoulders. Personally, I'd have him a tier up, swapped with T-Law, but I don't think it's crazy to say that he's somewhere around the 10th-best quarterback in the league (assuming you're calculating both this season's performance and existing pedigree).

Nick is a little too low on Purdy, Broussard is a little too high. I like Purdy at 8-10. Their debate makes for good TV, though I do think it's getting a littttle tired.

the thing I like about nick is his ability to do something other than regurgitate rudimentary level stats. the greg jennings slip up is prime example of that. he looked at mahomes week 1 numbers and said he was terrible, despite him saying the opposite when they discussed him THAT WEEK on this show. why? because toney dropped everything thrown at him... now greg says "throw his receivers catchable balls" lmao. nick's consistency and detailed oriented thinking are such a breath of fresh air instead of looking at some numbers and parroting popular opinion. the comedy is a huge plus too.
