Waiting for my box to arrive, just signed up, so its my first. And no better ring to start with. I've been watching your videos for about 2 weeks now, soaking up all the information/tips and tricks I can. Cant wait for it to get here!. Only thing I'm lacking is a lathe, but I'll make it work until i get one.

you should talk about the ring sizes and if you get YOUR ring size you need as a customer.

When you sign up for the monthly subscription, you put in the ring size you want.

I need one of the white circles/rings you crush the opals in. It works great. Does it come in the deluxe kit?
@k1sfd19743 жыл бұрын
It’s the outside covering of plumbers tape. You can get several rolls for a few dollars at Home Depot or Lowe’s.

Just a question, why was the accelerator, polish or sand paper added to kit?? Can I use accelerator that I use for pens?? Thanks
@carriemyre58093 жыл бұрын
Not added!
@iUnderdog13 жыл бұрын
Your first box when you sign up will have the glue(mine came with the thin). The rest is up to you to supply. The polish isnt 100% needed, as you can just wet sand or use car polish. The accelerator you use on pens will for for rings as well.

How isn’t the dremel bit hurting the ring blanks?
@iUnderdog13 жыл бұрын
the blanks are stronger than you'd think. I thought the same thing until i started. If you're light, it won't do any damage, any light scuffs/scratches will buff out one you hit the sanding and buffing stage.

i allways wonder how loud the lathe is running? 50db? 60? like a vacuum cleaner oder like a normal conversation? is there an answer to that?
@k1sfd19743 жыл бұрын
Mine is way quieter than a vacuum. I can still run my Echo with music on level 5 and hear more music than machine noise. My Dremel (handheld not pendulum) is louder. If you swapped out to metal gears, instead of the plastic ones from the factory, it’s even quieter.
@ThePlumberMan953 жыл бұрын

I think it would probably look a bit more northern lights if the colors were streaming and blending into each other instead of clumps here and there.

To be honest, I liked your videos a lot more when it was just you in your shop making videos, and not on the set with other people. I'm not a huge fan now because your channel went from a more raw look with you cutting and hammering in a workspace to you showing us bits of stuff on a pristine set. Just letting you know from a subscriber standpoint what I like/dislike
@JojoDigitalArtist3 жыл бұрын
I was honestly just thinking that I preferred when his videos weren't as high quality. Kind of lost that personal feel.
@robw50883 жыл бұрын
I love this channel and been an avid watcher since day one but I think Patrick has forgotten what gave the charm to his channel. We see less and less of him as a maker, less innovative ring designs and over all less content. I believe Patrick has forgotten that he is a huge part of why people tune in to watch him work. Bob Ross paintings wouldn't be the same if his producer painted them. Alec Steele knives wouldn't truly be "his" if the delivery guy forged the steel. I think he has forgotten the most important element in his business.
@doublet59963 жыл бұрын
@@robw5088 I agree. He used to make really cool rings, but now all he and his team do are the ring box rings and occasionally rings that look exactly the same as the ring box rings.
@zatoth133 жыл бұрын
I kind of liked it when he listed where the materials such as glow powders and the synthetic opals came from. As someone who does other items than rings, I like having places to get materials.
@PatrickAdairDesigns3 жыл бұрын
I definitely appreciate the feedback and agree with a lot of your points. We’re working on trying to make the channel the best of both worlds but we’re going through some growing pains right now. We’ll keep dialing in our process and listening to feedback all along the way. Also just to let you know we’re working on several projects that are a little more unique and closer to a lot of my older videos! Danny, Everett, and I are spending a lot of time getting the video process figured out, soon we will switch to focusing solely on the projects and making them as unique and entertaining as possible.

Wait 50 bucks for the box when a ring already made is about half that price.Man 25 bucks max seems about where it needs to be for subscription base boxes
@iUnderdog13 жыл бұрын
I don't know, 50 is a pretty good deal considering what you get in the box. They have to make some profit too. And no way am I going to sell a ring I made for less than 50. Between materials and labor, 25 definitely would not cut it. Friends, maybe just the cost of materials.
