Didn't the guy wear a baseball cap to the meeting with Tony and would not take it off? You know how Tony dislikes baseball caps in a restaurant. That was all it took to be whacked. Plus, if I remember correctly, the cap was wired.

@@cmjohnson61 He did wear a wired cap, but he told Tony that he kept it because of hair loss (due to cancer I think). In other words, he did not get whacked because he wore that cap. He made some sort of weird compliment to relieve some tension, like Tony had lost some weight (even though Tony did the exact opposite throughout the years lol). That was what tipped Tony off, after discussing it with Sil back at the office.

A smarter person would have asked "What do you want to do about it?" Leaving Tony to make the decision. He's obviously not going to want to take out a longtime friend and business partner. Asking before you have any idea is just jumping the gun. Asking "What do you want to do about it?" lets Tony think about things without the pressure of thinking to whack him.

That Tabasco shirt is so garish and ugly and out of place for Tony. I really think his wardrobe choices this season reflect him becoming a bachelor again. When Tony B. busts his balls and he blows up it also shows how much he's lost some kind of moral center as a boss. Without his family our entire "mindset" of Tony's life becomes horrified at how much of a scumbag he really is underneath all his conventional values as an erstwhile husband.

When Silvio got shot, Patsy pretty much missed every shot on the hit men before running away. Not to mention, he disappeared and didn’t go to inform anyone else of what happened.

Tony was always super hesitant to kill people. Phil, Vito, Pussy, Jack Maserone, Chrissy, Feech, Tony B, Jackie Jr., Ritchie, Ralph. For a "cold-blooded sociopath" he was never quick on the trigger. He'd beat someone's ass, but it takes a lot for him to kill someone.

David Chase wanted Steve Van Zandt to play Tony. HBO wouldn't go for it. Would have been a very different series without JG in the lead role. I honestly don't see how SVZ could have done it. I wonder what Chase was thinking early on.
