@@cmjohnson61 He did wear a wired cap, but he told Tony that he kept it because of hair loss (due to cancer I think). In other words, he did not get whacked because he wore that cap. He made some sort of weird compliment to relieve some tension, like Tony had lost some weight (even though Tony did the exact opposite throughout the years lol). That was what tipped Tony off, after discussing it with Sil back at the office.

A smarter person would have asked "What do you want to do about it?" Leaving Tony to make the decision. He's obviously not going to want to take out a longtime friend and business partner. That Tabasco shirt is so garish and ugly and out of place for Tony. I really think his wardrobe choices this season reflect him becoming a bachelor again. When Tony B. busts his balls and he blows up it also shows how much he's lost some kind of moral center as a boss. Without his family our entire "mindset" of Tony's life becomes horrified at how much of a scumbag he really is underneath all his conventional values as an erstwhile husband.

because killing his brother put a permanent suspicion into Tony if Patsy can be trusted. Tony imo was right in that. There was always the chance of Patsy secretly plotting his revenge. In the end it could very well mean that Tony being killed was exactly his long term planning.

@@dylanbelven7137 here is the thing, I’m almost certain Patsy is involved. He doesn’t carry out the hit, but he is definitely aware and let’s it happen. When Silvio got shot, Patsy pretty much missed every shot on the hit men before running away. Not to mention, he disappeared and didn’t go to inform anyone else of what happened.

Remember the dinner scene with Sil, Patsy and Albert? Sil goes to the bathroom and Patsy and Albert are discussing Tony whacking Ralph over a horse, could lead to Patsy getting whacked over a pair of shoes. Ya damn right Patsy had a hand in it.

Tony was always super hesitant to kill people. Phil, Vito, Pussy, Jack Maserone, Chrissy, Feech, Tony B, Jackie Jr., Ritchie, Ralph. For a "cold-blooded sociopath" he was never quick on the trigger. He'd beat someone's ass, but it takes a lot for him to kill someone.

David Chase wanted Steve Van Zandt to play Tony. HBO wouldn't go for it. Would have been a very different series without JG in the lead role. I honestly don't see how SVZ could have done it. I wonder what Chase was thinking early on.
