Anderson has been fantastic this season! He's playing with speed, power, and energy. Good to see him finally getting some breaks on the scoreboard...because he deserves it as much as anyone.

The Montreal Canadiens have Patrick Laine in his prime. That's crazy.
@DrewDekes7 күн бұрын
Crazy indeed. Hopefully he re-signs for the right $ amount. I know they’re certainly gonna try. At least he’ll be here for Demidov’s arrival too, see how they gel, more incentive for him to stay.

I'm low key scared. But he's on my fantasy team and I traded stolarz to add him basically.

@@DrewDekes I'm absolutely sure Laine really wants to sign with Montreal. So much so that he could leave a lotta money on the table from other possible offers. He loves to play where hockey is the absolute #1 sport and there's not many places like Montreal where that is the case. It was the same when he was playing in his hometown of Tampere (arguably the birth place of Finnish hockey) and I'm pretty sure he feels a lot like home in Montreal.

Wow!! That was quite the statement game by Laine last night. 3 goals on 3 powerplays was unbelievable. He's got quite the rocket!!! Amazing shot. And his game 5 on 5 is slowly coming along as well. Once he starts clicking on his line, you never know, we might just get into the mix afterall. I do feel bad for Buffalo and hope this losing skid ends soon. Gotta feel bad for their long suffering fans. Fun fact (maybe not if your a loyal fan) Vancouver and Buffalo both came into the league at the same time before 70/71 season and both are still looking for their first Stanley Cup. Back to the Habs, they looked great last night and have been playing decent hockey for a few weeks now. Still a couple blow-outs in there but their still young and learning. With Demidov coming next year and him feeding Laine, OMG the future looks so bright. So many good prospects still not here. Gotta be patient and wait the rebuild process out. Go Habs Go!!!

I agree with you Tony, Anderson is finally playing with heart and driving the play. I always told my kids that if Anderson had a Gallagher heart transplant, he would earn his contract. We need our vets to drive the kids by their own play on the ice and not just talk in the room.

I went to see their Reddit yesterday just to look at their perspective and man thats sad. As fan they are living a nightmare that never seems to end. We have our issues and going throught tough times too but at least we see glimmers of hope

I feel bad for the Sabres. I'm happy we won. I hope Laine is more than a power play specialist. He is clearly taking opportunities away from Caulfield. Give Gerard Gallant the sabres job. He has a knack for turning losers into winners

Not complaining, but I also hope he can score from somewhere other than within 6 inches of the left faceoff dot, ha!!

@@tonylloy327I don't care if that's literally the only spot he scores from if it keeps going in. Why can't we just celebrate the good anymore in society?

The Canadiens are a bad, but improving team, with a superstar goal scorer. The Sabres are a horrible team, who have lost all confidence, without a superstar goal scorer. I feel bad for Sabres fans. They deserve so much better.

I know Primeau is a bad word around Montreal these days, but I thought maybe they would have played Primeau tonight to rest Monty for the back to back Fri/Sat. Assuming they plan on playing both I assume they play Primeau in Detroit on Friday, Monty Sat. night back at home.

There are several teams in the NHL that are so badly mismanaged and some for years, the Sabres, the Penguins, the Flames, the old Coyotes, the Sharks, the Senators to some point, the Islanders, Columbus….. so when some fans complain about to slow rebuild in MTL, shut them down and stay focus on the development of our kids and the draft.

Beating Buffalo doesn't mean much. The second worst team beats the worst. The clueless duo( Dekes & Marinaro) will think we won the cup. St. Louis and staff are not NHL calibre. Dach , Newhook, Armia, Dvorak, Primeau, Anderson, Savard, and Barron have to go. Hughes and Gorton have not drafted well. Slafkowsky, Mesar, and Reinbacher will never be NHL players. No free agents want to play in economically depressed Montreal. They don't want to learn French, pay exorbitant taxes, deal with the rabid French press, or try and survive the backward politics and brutal winters. There is a reason that the Canadiens are terrible. Montreal is a graveyard for hockey and sports in general.
