From 1:18 It is easily misunderstood when the statement is made that "I am not that." After all, nonduality means there is no borderline. The misunderstanding arises because the questioner assumes that we are creating a 'creation' and that it therefore IS. So she thinks that in nonduality we are both being and creation. However, creation is not, it just appears to be by means of dreaming. It is true that we are dreaming/creating/imagining and that there is no division, but as soon as the dreaming turns into a believing that we are the dreamt, dreaming fantasises a believed-in reality (creation) that appears to exist like being. Therefore, Paul suggests that it is seen that 'me' and 'other' (the assumed creation) do not exist and that it is impossible to BE a fantasy. We can only be Being, even while it is dreaming. When awake to this fact, the situation is clear. It has always been that way.

You know what I realized when dying one night? And this is what I realized personally. I'm assuming it happens to all when the final curtain is pulled...I became aware that life is the only place this 'me' can live. This me lost its identity to itself and all comprehension almost. The me was encased in the cocoon of this body. The 'me' is a parasite/seed using the flesh to manifest itself in this paradigm. The 'me' cannot survive as a will of its own without it's husk. It was a deep mourning and feeling of betrayal witnessing all the conditioning the living teaches us. 'me' was completely alone. No veil broke to another side.This is it as an individual.The body dies first, the identity withers and dissapates when the body rots away. It's a very lonely duped feeling.And then the 'me' suddenly cannot compute a relative state.Panic set in.I forced air into my lungs and life came back. I learned body /mind is symbiotic.Living is where everything happens.Theres no other place.

Paul mentioned that the "MY"is the problem when it comes to money, relationships,possessions ect.If you walked up to Paul, took his wallet, his keys, jumped into his car, drove to his house, locked the door behind you, raided his fridge and screwed his girlfriend, he would feel justified in getting those things back because his belief in "MY" is as just as strong as everybody else.If it happened to somebody else he would not care.So does he practice what he preaches?

Yes he does. As an action figure his way of life is from AA. So if its "my" has any conflict with another's "my" he will practice the 4th step. In giving the talks, he's letting his "my" be in service to what to the action figure can be referred to as a My greater than his (he doesn't have an initial, totat desire to give the talks, as a kind of not gregarious guy). He is grounded in "not doing for one's self" as the way to trust anything in Its "improvement" of skillfull liviing - It doesn't present him the tests you describe as he has his own "tests". And he is clear that the Message is NOT to be judged by the messenger (not that he has to say it much or yes it would sound self serving to action figures that would judge it so). While judging the messenger, the message meant for "me" is missed. In a way, because the the message "I am not that which judges and judges the messenger and misses other available messages - is not Me!". And so doesn't see it in "others".

So, if you students of the Way are mistaken about your own real Mind, not recognizing that it is the Buddha, you will consequently look for him elsewhere, indulging in various achievements and practices and expecting to attain realization through such graduated practices. This seeing is blocked by selfing which is very powerful. It has millennia behind it and armies of thoughts and feelings to enforce itself as this dreaming identity. At this stage in life, seeing the selfing is intermittent but it's helped by perception going outwards to the world. Then selfing kicks in again and claims whatever's arising until another glimpse of freedom from selfing This is the ongoing pattern.

... if you have faith in the thought system, you will produce tons of activity from what's not happening. That same faith placed in something else will enrich your day. ..now 'this' wants to get out of the reality of the movie, but that's like a mental denial keeping the character intact. It doesn't work. Watch how the thought is being used. Is there some addition to the thought that implies a 'my', that is either thought about or the thinker. ..If you hear stuff, don't let a period be on it. Let the mind entertain.. ..how real could it be if it disappeared so quickly? So I started to realize the dreaming..intimately..by being here.. by.. by being your own fucking authority, by you being the living scripture. You are what you're looking for. Let it be that. See what happens.
