Thank you Mr Leim - I stole your Jeff Porcaro snare tip and MAN what a difference. I was ready to throw that choked Pearl Sessions snare drum and kick out the window. I loosened the snares and bam! Then I took the pillow out of my kick and threw 3/4 of the stuffing out and what an open sound. I am revisiting my drums and pusing 60. When you begin a quest things start to appear and I am having a lot of fun.

WOW! I've been able to play drums for I don't know how long and Paul just demystified the snare tuning in 40 seconds.

Paul is great! I grew up listening to music he was on and he shaped my sound and technique. There's stuff he did thay I learned that I've heard no other drummers do. A good solid meat and potatoes player.
