I really like the whole song (or two songs, as you prefer to say). But this way, I can show and play it to my little children and enjoy together 😁

theme of this song is people at a workplace are not doing work but just slacking off and doing nothing but drinking tea, they call up uncle albert who is the owner to say they did nothing, than the 2nd part is just daydreaming about traveling the world., that's admiral halsey. excellent songwriting and music. thanks to my music teacher who first played this song for us, and have loved this ever since.

Sounds like this was originally written as a Beatles song before they broke up and Paul quickly put it on his own album.

I know your comment is six years old and the other comments are just trying to be witty but you're actually kinda right!! While we can't be sure when he wrote this song exactly, there is footage of paul playing some "ram" songs during the let it be sessions. It had to be some sort of outtake because it isn't in the movie... I'm not sure were i saw it but i'll definetly come back here after i found it. By the way if you want to see the let it be movie, it's on videa and vimeo ;)

The Admiral Halsey part is fun which provides a contrast to the slightly depressing Uncle Albert part, nonetheless the real life story of Halsey's Typhoon is not for the faint of heart.

My Father, Paul Joseph Cassidy was the Bugler for Admiral Halsey in the Pacific. My Father did not know about this song. I only learned this fun fact around 2013 from him. There is a trumpet/bugle solo in Admiral Halsey. How did Paul McCartney know about Paul Cassidy? ❤🎺 This song
