I just watched the video of Paperback writer performed by the Beatles in Japan 1966 and then clicked on this! Obviously, watching the vids back to back, it's clearly Paul. Love this version although John and George in the background harmonies can't be beat.

I was at his Giants Stadium concert back in '93. When I heard him and his band do this song, there was'nt a person there who did'nt have a smile on his or her face.
@tonybrice129810 жыл бұрын
This is from the Fox show that was broadcast live in June, '93. I recorded it off TV and still have it, but I wish it would be released on DVD. Several songs were performed during commercial breaks and the broadcast ended before he completed "Hey Jude." IMO, it's one of his best concerts.

@drdalet13 жыл бұрын
OK, little factoid here: did you know that the guys in the background (in this video from 1m06s onwards) actually sing "Frères Jacques"? Just like the Beatles did on the original. They came up with that idea, because it is the same melody.

Unfortunately, as the Beatles are not immortal and immune to aging as we all wish they would be, they lose some of their vocal flair along the years, as previously stated, but it's good to know even then they sing just as good.

Paul was killed by a turtle falling on his head in 1967, and George was killed in 1991 while he was singing at a concert in Iraq during Desert Storm. Ringo was also killed in 2003 when somebody dropped boiling McDonald's coffee on him and gave him a heart attack. Only John is still alive and he's married to someone called Yoko, a beautiful blonde with blue eyes.

@Scythe0001 no, i know big time rush because of my 7 year old cousin, they're the NICK equivalent of Disneys Jonas Brothers, and the difference between the two is the JBs try to look like they play guitars while the BTR are just standing around doing boygroup shit.

Great song... great vocal performance under windy conditions...but I really hate the 80-s 90-s use of "guitar Chorus" effects. Yuck. Check out Rusty Anderson playing it in recent live shows... that tone rocks.

@tokestAr42015 жыл бұрын
lol for all the people that believed he died in 66, if he really did die and there was a cover up, don't you think that the man who was replacing him would just stop after the beatles? why keep going? what was the point of the whole thing?,,,,so there would be a 4th beatle member....when the beatles were done if the whole story were to be true, the imposter wouldn't keep going on and trying to do better things.
