@Joy Stinson What's interesting and somewhat sad IMHO is that after the Beatles broke up he never, ever sang live "I Want to Hold Your Hand" or "She Loves You." Both classics.

@@jimharris9877 I would guess these are essentially John’s songs.
@jimharris98772 жыл бұрын
@@pierre6760 Probably right - still it's a shame he never performed either in concert.

So glad Paul and Ringo are still with us. And they both seem to just get cooler with age.

Thanks, I hadn't seen/heard this version before. I just had the 'Unplugged' CD. The harmonies in the chorus get me every time 😥

This was his band when I saw him here in Toronto in the early 90's at Exhibition Stadium on the CNE grounds. Best moment was when the psychedelic piano rose from beneath the stage and he played a bunch of songs from the Pepper/Magical Mystery Tour era, including John songs, which iirc was the first tour he played songs that were considered "John Songs".

He's a great entertainer as well, great sense of humor also in many of his song texts. Lennon had another sense of humor, also great 👍
