I was born in August, 1999 right before this performance. What I find incredible is he was back performing just a little over a year and a half after Linda died. I know that took a massive toll on him into 1999 and 2000. But he fought through his pain and performed this beautiful song *LIVE!* And he was _phenomenal._ 👊🏻

@ruelitocayamanda8162 Жыл бұрын
@@thebeamerdreamerYes. That makes it easier to play the song. One can always use standard tuning and play in the key of F but the fingerings are a bit more difficult. Anybody who plays guitar understands this.
@thebeamerdreamer Жыл бұрын
@@ruelitocayamanda8162 after playing both the versions in standard as well as the D standard tuning I can easily say that the downtuned version is much easier than playing it in standard.
@christopherpetryk75623 ай бұрын
Actually, if you play it in standard tuning in the key of F, you cannot play the whole bass line, as when you need to go to the low D at the "I believe" part you run out of stings. That, or you need to play a higher D that doesn't sound right. In D tuning, you can play the open D (E string) and it sounds great... and much easier to play. Although it is a terrible key for my singing voice. 😢😅
