Ahh, really thought that he was going to char the figs on the plancha or grill pan or something like that, and give them this luxurious finish with a drizzle of beautiful freshly harvested wild honey. Ugh!

Out of curiosity.. when did the UK broadcasting start using the Imperial system in some of your cooking measurements? I feel like UK Top Gear also began using miles and ft instead of kilometers and meter I just don't know when.

PewpewFighter So Britain used the imperial system right up until around the 1960s, when we switched to Metric. As such my parents and grandparents generations have two sets of measurements in their heads. Before the Metric we were using a system called the British Imperial System that was invented around 1824. The American Imperial System, is apparently deprived from the British one, although I may be wrong.

PewpewFighter not sure when the top gear thing happened, but miles was invented by Queen Elizabeth the I, (again might be wrong)
