My mom loved Paul Simon. She passed away unexpectedly 3 weeks ago. I finally got the courage to listen to some of his songs and oh boy the tears are flowing. Remembering our long road trips with Paul Simon on repeat. Love you mom ❤

Reminds me of High School when I played this song ad nauseum on 8-track on my old Soundesign stereo. I was in Heaven! Was a great song 50+ years ago, and is still a great song today! Thanks for playing this to the last second of the fade!! I wish that radio (especially with today's technology) would play songs until the end of the fade (being increased in volume enough to hear) and would play song intros without DJ voiceovers!! And, YES, there can still be (unfortunately) plenty of time for advertising, plugs, trailers, etc. in between!!

I love this song.....l met Paul Simon at a club called the Bottom line in NYC he was still married to Penny Marshall at the time they were there together... He was very nice....

First time I heard this song was October 9, 1973...It was the day I got my drivers license (I was 16 and my birthday)...after dropped my mom at home while going to school this was the first song I heard on the radio and finally driving all by myself. I had the world by the A** well at least that's what I thought.

I first heard this whilst sitting on a rock overlòoking the town of Kirchheim in Germany as a 19 year old would be engineering student working in a glider factory (but being Australian) I had just bought s pocket radio ("transistor" then) and turned it on to for the first time and found US forces radio - and 'love me like a rock' heard for the first time. Magic times the Jacksons were touring Germany then also. I never understood the lyric though ...i think it means stedfast but not like you might fall in love with a stone 😅
