Paul may not be the most popular man in music but to those who have been touched by his music he is a legend. And I believe great songs will always be found and so his music will live on. But he definitely deserved more. Everyone was merging punk and The Beatles in the 90's. But The Mats had already done that.

One of the few bands and singers that hit me in the same way and stir the same emotions as when I was younger. Listening to The Replacements and Paul solo literally takes me back to places in time that no other music could ever do. I'm sure everyone has their own band or music that does this for them, but the Mats and Paul could never be matched, in my eyes!!
@ATXviIIIe Жыл бұрын
Yeah I can’t even listen to them much anymore because it was such a part of my younger life that was hard and great. I moved to Minnesota for college from the east coast to be further from the rat race and closer to family and The Replacements

Besides second guitarist's mic being way too hot on the choruses, a smashing version, Lucky to see this tour in NYC at Irving Plaza. Paul played most of the 14 Songs, then near 20 by the Replacments.

@@loveliness1219 There’s sadness and anger in some of the The Replacements/Paul Westerberg’s songs as well though. Maybe a strange coincidence, but listen to the Mats’: Go, The Ledge & even I Don’t Know to name a few where Kurt/Nirvana sounds like he was inspired by them.
